Thursday, June 14, at 2 a.m. GMT, the stakes get even higher as Gears of War releases eight new Achievements for the “Annex” gametype and the “Hidden Fronts” Multiplayer Map Pack on Xbox LIVE®.

In addition to adding new Achievements, worth a total of 250 points, Gears of War developer Epic has improved the Roadie Run controls so players have greater control of their movement and can better annihilate their pestilent enemies. The title update will also help squash multiplayer exploits and provide general housekeeping.

For those who have yet to man up and join the battle, the “Annex” gametype is now available for free and the “Hidden Fronts” Multiplayer Map Pack is available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points. All four multiplayer maps will be made available at no cost over Xbox LIVE on Sept. 3, 2007.

* Improved Roadie Run to reduce getting snagged on cover
* Tweaked up the amount of damage done by the Lancer Assault Rifle in multiplayer
* Fixed split-screen players interrupting the other player’s actions when they die
* Stopped Annex scoring whenever a “Connection Error” dialog box is displayed
* Reduced the duration that corpses remain visible when hosting an Annex match
* Reduced the range of possible Annex bleed-out times selectable by host
* Addressed a number of multiplayer exploits
* Addressed other general housekeeping

Wat een achievements zeg. Die van Annex zijn lekker zinloos als je mij vraagt, is voor de echte achievements diehards.

 

Beetje raar, die 2e en 3de achievements. Bij Inconceivable: wat is 'fewer than 5 points'? Minder dan 5 punten van wat? Totale score?

Nub Pwn3r: bedoelen ze dat je dan wint zonder de tegenstander 1 punt te geven?


Maar het bespaart me wel een hele hoop chagrijnige buien als die roadie-run verbeterd is. Ik haat magnetische muren...

Echt he als dit het effect geeft wat ik denk dat het geeft dan komen ze daar lekker mee zo vlak voor het wcg....

 

Precies, dan gaat het ook invloed op tactiks hebben. Veel invloed.

 

lekker update hoor ja inderdaad dat muurgeplak is eindelijk voorbij!!

 

Ik echt niet. Ik heb altijd al gevonden dat de lancer een te zwak wapen was. Je moet zo ongelovelijk lang schieten op iemand om hem down te krijgen. Ik vind het echt beter, nu hoef je tenmiste niet te wachten tot diegene dichtbij komt (of jij dichtbij hem), omdat je alleen de shotgun en lancer hebt. Ik persoonlijk vond de lancer dis echt te zwak en ben er blij mee. Maar zo te zien ben ik een van de weinigen :b:.

Dit is ook wel mooi. Vaak was er een lange bleed-out duration en lieten ze je gewoon liggen als je down geschoten was, zodat je niet kan respawnen.

 

eh like, Eellie, die host voordeel is dan 0,5 sec en je downt iemand

 

YES NIEUWE ACHIEVEMENTS ERBIJ, YES MEER GAMERSCORE.


Jezus die achievements van die update boeien me niet, maar meer damage met de lancer... Dat is wel echt iets te gay. HLH helemaal blij, of niet Mercenary .

Snap echt niet wat mensen hebben met achievements. Ik heb echt schijt aan achievements en gamerscore boeit me echt geen flikker
