The game is a reboot of the X-COM video game series originally created by Microprose. XCOM was officially revealed at E3 2010, and is expected to be released on March 9, 2012. Set in 1962, players will take the role of William Carter, a field intelligence officer with the FBI now assigned to XCOM, whose job is to identify and eliminate an unknown extraterrestrial threat. A re-imagining of one of gaming's most storied and beloved franchises, XCOM combines the strategic core of the groundbreaking franchise with a suspense-filled narrative and distills it into a tense and unique first-person shooter experience. The game depicts humanity's struggle against an unknown enemy, putting players directly into the shoes of an FBI agent tasked with identifying and eliminating the growing threat. True to the roots of the franchise, players will be placed in charge of overcoming high-stake odds through risky strategic gambits coupled with heart-stopping combat experiences that pit human ingenuity -- and frailty -- against a foe beyond comprehension. By setting the game in a first-person perspective, players will be able to feel the tension and fear that comes with combating a faceless enemy that is violently probing and plotting its way into our world. ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Ken het origineel niet, en wist ook niks van deze game af. Ziet er toch wel leuk uit. Heeft in ieder geval een tof sfeertje zo te zien, en is weer eens wat anders dan de meeste FPS die op elkaar lijken. 2K Marin zorgde met BioShock 2 voor een vermakelijke vervolg imo, sfeer heeft er ook wat van weg. ​ ​

 

Ziet er leuk uit. 60's + Aliens .

 

Ik hou van die originele. Vooral deel 2. Deze is al tijdje in de maak. Hoop op een verrassing net als Deus Ex. Vind wel vet dat je ff die aliens hun homeplanet/dimension/whatever ziet.

Maar euh.. Zelfde release date als ME3. Kan niet!
