NBA Live 06 was als je het mij vraagt een van de beter uitziende games bij de release van de 360. De gameplay liet alleen nog de nodige zaken te wensen over... Voor 07 lijkt EA de gameplay ook Next-Gen waardig te maken..

'Last year we focused on really taking advantage of the first year of next generation consoles and aimed to create the best looking basketball game and give you a game that really had a Next Gen feel to it. This year our goal was to give you a completely different feel to the Gameplay -- something that not only looks and feels next gen, but plays next gen as well. In order to achieve this, we had to do a complete rewrite of the AI, Animation and Gameplay engines. EA has developed a new animation tool called ANT which allowed us to create player movement and behavior that you have never experienced before. It creates unprecedented realism around how the players move around the court, how they behave and how the respond to game situations and other players. It also helped us eliminate things like foot sliding and unrealistic stops and turns. Creating this level of authentic athletic performance is only possible with the power of next gen hardware and is really a first for sports games.
Another important goal was to add the depth back into the game. We know you love features like Dynasty Mode, and the NBA All-Star Weekend and it was important to us to get them them back in the game as quickly as possible. All-Star Weekend islgetting a real next gen presentation and look to it and Dynasty Mode is back with a ton of new features in it. Amongst many other things, we have integrated ESPN’s Rumor Central and created a Team Chemistry component, which will immerse you deep into the complexity of running an NBA Franchise. Nowadays you see teams in all sports with a very impressive roster, yet they can’t seem to win a lot of games. What differentiates these teams from the winners is Team Chemistry, so what we’ve done with NBA LIVE this year is create Team Chemistry logic that allows you to manage the morale of your players and build a team that gets along really well in the locker room which results in a tangible impact on the performance of the players on the court.
Overall, I’m very excited about our new Gameplay this year, particularly with the addition of Total Freestyle Control, which will allow the players to play and move like you’ve never seen them before. The most obvious enhancement is the ability for players to have multiple superstar types and be able to change them on the fly. You no longer have to decide if you want LeBron to be a High Flyer, Play Maker or Scorer - now he's all of them, just like his real life counterpart. Secondly, we have added in three levels of Superstars this year which has allowed us to do two things: First, we can differentiate between players in greater detail and allow more players to be Freestyle Superstars. Level 1 Superstars are those players who are the up and coming stars of the league but haven't solidified their spot amongst the leagues stars yet. Level 2 Superstars are potential All-Star players who have the ability to pull off some crazy moves and get the crowd into the game. Level 3 Superstars are the upper tier players in the league who are the fan favorites - the T-Mac's, LeBron's, and Wade's of the league'

Als je het mij vraagt wordt dit een absolute topper als je van basketbal games houdt en zou dit wel is een hele harde tik voor 2K kunnen betekenen als ze de graphics en animaties niet aanpakken dit jaar.
