A little while ago, I downloaded a very nice addon (Ace2) called Cartographer. What does it do? It does many things. For example, it shows where you and your guildies using Cartographer are on the map. It also adds dungeon maps. Whenever you press M while in a dungeon, you will see a map with markings of the bosses and their loot tables. So much faster than Atlas
Additionally, you can change the looks of the map. For instance, you can make it look transparent, you can scale it down, etc. It can also show all unexplored places on the world map. This setting is on by default. You can switch it off, just disable Foglight. That's not all though.
There are many plugins for
Cartographer. For instance:
Herbalism - whenever you pick herbs, the location will be stored on the map.
Mining - whenever you mine a vein, well..same as herbalism
Vendors - shows where vendors are on the map.
Treasure - shows where treasure chests and such are on the map.
Trainers - shows where trainers are on the map.
Quests - shows where questgivers are on the map.
Fishing - shows where fish are to be found on the map.
You can also download plugins for
sharing notes and for having a handy
minimap button.
All these addons are clickable. Download them into your Addon folder and voila, it should work. These are the latest versions as of today. You can always check for newer versions
here, just sort them by date.
This is really a very awesome addon. Me, Furies and Shinobu are already using it. I believe it will be handy for a lot of players who need to gather materials. Already using a similar addon, such as Gatherer? Just download
