Another PC RTS is making its way console-side.

November 12, 2007 - Today THQ announced it is porting its popular PC real-time strategy (RTS) game Supreme Commander over to the Xbox 360. This console edition will be packing new units, new multiplayer modes, and updated maps. Gas Powered Games, the studio behind the PC version, is bringing in Hellbent Games to help with development for the 360. Aspyr will be handling publishing duties. As tends to happen with PC RTS titles making the leap to consoles, Supreme Commander's control system and HUD are receiving an overhaul.
"Aspyr's developer-friendly publishing environment delivers 100% on our vision for bringing Supreme Commander to the Xbox 360," said Chris Taylor, CEO and Creative Director of Gas Powered Games and Lead Designer of Supreme Commander. "We believe that we've raised the bar for RTS gaming on the PC and now, co-developing with Hellbent Games, we know that we can do the same on consoles. Hellbent brings a talented, veteran team together to deliver Supreme Commander to the Xbox 360 platform."
Supreme Commander lets players pick one of three factions embattled in the Infinite War. Featuring some of the most epic hostilities ever seen in an RTS game, the "strategic zoom" allows Commanders to view the action from extreme distances or right at ground level.
Look for Supreme Commander to be giving your 360 orders in early 2008.
