Devil's Third Slated For 2012 THQ gives release window for new title from Itagaki. US, June 22, 2010 by Jim Reilly LATEST IMAGES View all 4 images » LATEST VIDEO During an investor conference at E3 last week, publisher THQ revealed it plans to ship Devil's Third, a recently announced action title from Valhalla Studios, in early 2012. Devil's Third was first unveiled days prior to the show. Famed Ninja Gaiden designer Tomonobu Itagaki is helming the project at his newly-formed studio based in Tokyo, Japan. The publisher also unveiled UFC Trainer, a new fitness title that includes all the licensed UFC fighters and trainers from the league. That game is scheduled to ship in early January, 2011 for the Wii, Microsoft Kinect, and PlayStation Move. Speaking at the conference, THQ core games executive Danny Bilson noted the game wasn't shown on the E3 floor due to apparent lag issues with the Kinect camera. "We want this thing tuned to perfection without lag, and I'm not going to ship it until it's the coolest fighting/exercise game in the world," said Bilson. "There's a lot of tuning still going on with that hardware."
Alan Wake 2 Coming as Soon as Early 2012? In a recent interview with IGN, Oskari Hakkinen who is Head of Franchise at Remedy was asked about the Future of Alan Wake. In it they touch on the two upcoming episodes, "The Writer" and "The Signal". They confirm that it will continue the story of the game and potentially set up the game for a sequel. Remedy seem to be really excited about doing a sequel but Microsoft as of yet have not offered a deal. In the interview, Oskari says that Microsoft are interested in Remedy doing more episodes but this would slow time on production on the sequel. Quite a predicament. Microsoft want more episodes but Remedy want to do a full fledged sequel. Thankfully though a sequel would not take 5 years but just 18 months Kakkinen claimed. He mentioned that Max Payne 1 took 5 years to produce where Max Payne 2 took just 18 months and Alan Waker would see a a similar development cycle. So if production were to start soon we could see Alan Wake 2 by Early 2012. The fate of future episodes are all down to the attach rate of the second episode. So would you like another Alan Wake or more Alan Wake 1 episode or have you had enough of the writer.
Privates!
New Game Releases: 6/27 – 7/3 Xbox 360: * Deathsmiles * LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 * N3II: Ninety-Nine Nights * Naughty Bear * Puzzle Quest 2 (Xbox Live Arcade Download) * Singularity * Sniper: Ghost Warrior
Wat is daar zo bijzonder aan dan? Wat is het verschil met de gewoon XIII? Versus klinkt alsof het een multiplayer bevat?
