Gamescom 2010: From Dust: 11 New Facts One of our many guys at gamescom sits in on the presentation or game development legend Eric Chahi's upcoming sandbox download mindwarp Presentation Facts 1. The build shown is a Work in progress version. 2. From Dust is a God game where nature is the base element of the gameplay. 3. It's like playing on the beach. The game contains simple pleasures. 4. Based on a sim. Every bit of the world can be manipulated. 5. Digital distribution only. Out March 2011 6. You can have several villages and the tribes expand. You have to manage your villages and, as they grow, you'll earn new abilities. 7. You start with a small village and these people have no memories. That is a power that has been lost. They don't know where they are or what lies ahead. They don't know what is around the island. You must collect knowledge and expand across the map. 8. Not only islands. There are deserts, swamps, cliffs and volcanoes areas. 9. They have been thinking about God vs God multiplayer, but maybe not at launch. 10. The team likes the idea of Co-op gameplay. 11. The more simple it is then better it is' is the philosophy. Summary Of Demo From then looks of things there seem to be few objectives to this other than looking after your village and expanding your reach across the map. It's less like an RTS or resource management title, and seems to have more in common with Flower or Flow, being a simple, mellow piece of software that you chill out a bit. The team did suggest that there was more to reveal, though. Graphically is looks great and the physics are impressive - especially the way flowing water corrodes the landscape etc. Demo showed how you can pick up, earth, water and lava and manipulate the landscape any way you want. We were then showed a village of little dudes and a Tsunami warning. To prevent the village from being swept away, you had to get one of the villagers to retrieve a water artefact from the top of a mountain and get it set in the village. This was done by using earth and water to clear the path of fill in rivers so the village guy could cross. Once the countdown was over the wave hit. Because the water artefact was in place and the villagers were chanting the water flowed over and around the village.
Koch-Media-Chef Klemens Kundratitz kündigt Risen 2 und Sacred 3 an.
Rumor: Far Cry 3 in full development? 2008's release of developer/publisher Ubisoft's open world first person shooter Far Cry 2 was met with praise from critics and solid sales. Even before the game was released there was talk of making Far Cry 3. Now a new rumor from the pages of PC Gamer's latest print magazine suggests that Far Cry 3 is in full production mode. The magazine, in its rumor-filled Spy column, states that the game is "in full swing now" at Ubisoft's Montreal studios. According to the article the game's development is being lead by Josh Mosqueira, who previously worked over at Relic Entertainment as the lead designer for Company of Heroes. There's no word on what the game might be about although previous suggestions about Far Cry 3 stated the game would stick to Far Cry 2's African setting.
