LA Noire a new hit for Rockstar?
Combined with the drugs, jazz, and corruption of the 40′s, Team Bondi and Rockstar have teamed up together in the greatest way possible to give us third-person gamers, everything we want from a heart-racing plot to visually striking graphics in their new game, L.A. Noire.
Set in 1940′s Los Angeles, California, you star as Cole Phelps who works as a beat-up cop just trying to do his job. Using interrogation interviews, notes, and evidence, it’s your duty to solve some of the most gruesome murders in history.
While Rockstar is a tight-knit company that doesn’t like to spill their guts about their games before sales, they did give us gamers something to look forward to, such as: 3D graphics in game video which allows the ability of reading facial expressions (which shows dishonesty, sadness, panic, and etc.), 20+ hours of voice acting, free-range game play, reacting with more items in the game instead of the typical one or two items, and the ability to be able to play on Xbox 360, PlayStation3, and the PC. Like I said.. Team Bondi and Rockstar aren’t exactly going to the press.
Personally, my main expectation is that they give the game some diginity and don’t have it as a “1940′s L.A. version” of the Grand Theft Auto series, but offer more. I would like to see one or two real cases that did happen at the location and time that this game takes place, for instance: The Black Dahlia murder trials (the death of Elizabeth Short).
So far, the game has been said to be released in the first part of 2011, however.. it has been delayed approximately two times which doesn’t exactly leave a good taste in the mouths of those who are enthusiastic about the game so far. Will it be delayed again? Well hopefully Rockstar will keep it’s promise of having it be released in early ’11 instead of having it come out in Fall of 2011 like some sources are reporting. Although, could there be a delay because some people are comparing it to Mafia 2 already? Which also takes place in 1940′s-1950′s America?
Edit:
Volgens mij zijn alle zaken in de game gebaseerd op echte zaken, dus dan is die schrijver niet zo op de hoogte.
