Dus via hun online store heb je de game eigenlijk goedkoper dan dat je hem ophaalt uit hun winkel zelf?

Review van iemand op Gamefaqs forum

    Weapons:

I did a quick count of the guns in the game, but since I had to switch back and forth between body types to see them all, I could have missed one or two. Here's what I saw:

    - 2 Rifles
    - 6 SMGs
    - 5 Assault Rifles
    - 2 Grenade Launchers
    - 2 Shotguns
    - 3 Pistols
    - 2 LMGs
    - Minigun

I didn't really see any imbalances in regards to weaponry. Sure I had my preferences but nothing felt overpowered or cheap. Range plays a HUGE role in how effective each weapon is. I did manage to OHK someone with a shotgun but the barrel was pretty much touching his chest when I pulled the trigger. Even at a range of 8-10 feet it still took me 4 shotgun blasts most of the time. The recoil on some guns is crazy high as well, (LMGs in particular), and you will need those attachments you earn doing the challenges.

The overall shooting mechanics are pretty solid and movement has a real weighted feel to it, (reminds me a bit of Killzone). There's a real sense of realistic movement when you're running aroudn the levels. Speaking of that, the parkour adds such a cool element to the gameplay. I played some COD afterwards and it felt so restricted not being able to climb everywhere, lol. You will probably find the weapons to be a little unwieldy at first until you unlock front grips, muzzle breaks, etc... I can tell you right now, burst fire is your friend. Oh and people saying that hipfire is the only way to go are full of crap. One of the hints during a loading screen says that aiming down the sights, "GREATLY INCREASES ACCURACY" and it's 100% true. Crouching makes you even MORE accurate as well so if you really want to be a sharpshooter, crouch and ADS as much as possible.

The Heavy ****is indeed a tank. Add in health buffs and you will be in a lot of trouble in one-on-one battles with these guys. I can see this being the most popular type by far just because it's the most useful. There are a few instances where a lighter body type is more beneficialbut most of the time the Heavy is the way to go. Very often you'll be required to have your back to the entire enemy team as you hack a terminal, repair a generator etc... and the best way to survive the onslaught of ordinance flying your way is with the Heavy body type. Also the Light body type has access to only 7 primary weapons and 5 secondaries and go down pretty quickly in any firefight.

    Challenges:

There are 12 of these in total, (Objective, Parkour, Escort, and Tower Defense), and 8 of them give you much-needed rewards, (I wish I had noticed this before playing as I wouldn't have struggled to complete all the third-tier challenges, lol). I can't stress how important it is to do all of these before you go online. The two and three star challenges are pretty easy and are well worth the time.

    Abilities:

I could be wrong as my memory is not the best but I believe you start out with 10 abilities in each ****and then 10 more universal abilities. I know I have unlocked two additional ones while playing. So far the higher-level abilities cost the same as the low ones - you just need to be a certain rank and level to unlock them before you can buy them. You can also sell your abilities at the cost of a level. I'm sure most people will be doing this at least once as there are so many possibilities and cool abilities to try out. Some are definitely more useful than others though, but it's cool to see just how many completely different builds we'll see, (as long as everyone doesn't play as a Heavy). There is a version of COD's Second Chance, (Called "Downed Fire" I believe), which I'm sure will annoy a lot of people. It allows you to continue shooting with your pistol. The trade-off is that you have very little health and can be finished off quickly.

    General Gameplay Observations:

As other people have pointed out, it takes a lot of ammo to kill enemies most of the time. Considering there's an ability to increase your health bar, and be futher boosted my team medics, you can absorb a lot of damage. Also, once you're incapacitated it takes a crapload of ammo to finish you off, (took me around 5 bursts of my AR). The tutorial recommends using a melee attack to finish off enemies as ammo can be scarce, (I ran out all the time if I didn't have a friendly Soldier nearby). There are head shots of course but I could never tell when I killed an enemy with one as there's no notification. The end of the game scoreboard shows your head shot multiplier though.

Seldom have I played a game where teamwork is a requirement to win. A team of uncoordinated randoms is going to be slaughtered by a team which works together. There's also a great feeling of getting XP for doing pretty much EVERYTHING. Every single person who plays this game is going to be able to contribute regardless of their skill level. Objectives often require the person doing them to be completely vulnerable so he'll need good teammates to cover him. You get points just for being near the person repairing, hacking etc... so don't hesitate to be a support guy. This is awesome as it will hopefully prevent 75% of the team playing as the one particular ****which can fulfill that main objective. You can choose to turn off XP notification though if you don't like seeing numbers constantly popping up every time you do something. Personally I didn't have a problem with them at all as they're quite small and not obtrusive.

There's only been one real downside to the game so far and that's the mass chaos which takes place at most objectives. It's not uncommon to have all 16 players in the same small area shooting the crap out of each other. It's absolutely NUTS! I know this is the 360 board but if you ever played Killzone 2's Warzone mode you'll have a good idea. Although I love the fact there's no KDR, it will make more people completely disregard their own safety to get in there and start blasting away. It doesn't funnel players into severe chokepoints as much as other games though, (MOH, Killzone). In the very first Resistance mission you're tasked with protecting a door. There are FOUR ways to get into this area, (including from above), so you can't just sit and camp one or two doorways.

    Custom Settings:

Here's everything you can customize in Free Play mode:

    - Mode - Objective, Stopwatch
    - Difficulty
    - Team Size - can set each side independently for uneven teams
    - Friendly Fire - with this set to on, the accidental team-killing will be through the roof
    - Team Balance
    - Public VOIP
    - Death Spectator Mode (killcam)
    - Rank Restricted
    - Command Post Buffs
    - Overtime

    Campaign:

I only played the first two levels as I wanted to save it for Tuesday but when you play you can choose from Solo, Invite Only, Friends and Invite, or Everyone. I HIGHLY recommend playing on Hard Difficulty if you're going solo as Easy is a joke and Normal is not much harder. I absolutely DOMINATED the bots even on Normal.

    Maps:

    - Container City
    - Aquarium
    - Shipyard
    - Security Tower
    - Reactor
    - Refuel
    - Terminal
    - Resort

There is an option for Downloadable Content on the main menu.

    Customization:

Pretty cool though not really my thing. I imagine we'll see a LOT of people running around in the hockey mask, lol. There actually wasn't as many options as I thought there would be. But it is nice to know we'll be seeing thousands of different-looking characters even if the changes are subtle in some cases. You can also see every single appearance variable whether you've unlocked them or not. I've already customized all of my weapons but I haven't had enough time to test everything out yet. Some weapons have 4 different attachments and some have none. And some are restricted to particular weapons only. The "sniper" rifles are some of the few to get the rapid fire attachment which I thought was kind of odd.

You can have multiple characters as everyone knows but you need to unlock everything seperately for each one. I was going to create a second character but I just didn't want to have to do those challenges again. At least not solo. I will try them again with a friend to lessen the frustration, (as most of them involve you going solo against an entire team which can be frustrating).

    Visuals/Sound:

Not a lot to say here. The graphics are okay, (honestly though they looked better in the videos I watched), with some odd textures and a bit of a muddy look sometimes, (playing on a 46" 1080p Samsung with HDMI), but I do love the artistic and map designs. Sound design is well done especially the voices. The bots talk a LOT and you always know what's going on.

    Conclusion:

All in all this game is one of the most brilliant team-based shooters I have ever played. Honestly, if I had the means to develop a game, it would be almost exactly like this. Splash Damage has thought of EVERYTHING. I can see why it has been put off several times over the last two years or so. They spent a lot of time tweaking. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea but if you love teamwork you'll love Brink. Oh yes, and it can be confirmed; the ONLY thing you see on the scoreboard is XP. There's also an "Awards" tab, (best overall player, best Engineer etc...).

Buy this game first chance you get. :)

If so prima vid.
