    The story of the UNSC Infinity intersects with the “Halo 4” campaign, and then continues on in a brand-new, story-driven experience known as Spartan Ops. A first-of-its-kind, exciting new addition to the “Halo” franchise,Spartan Ops is an episodic adventure that blends immersive storytelling, high-quality cinematics and action-packed gameplay to deliver an unprecedented serialized experience.

    Through a weekly series of cinematic episodes, Spartan Ops will tell the continuing story of the UNSC Infinity, following the events of “Halo 4.” These episodes will center on the UNSC Infinity leaders and crew as well as a new team of Spartans —Majestic Squad. These cinematic episodes will provide the backdrop for the weekly Spartan Ops gameplay missions. Playable in single-player or cooperatively with up to four players, Spartan Ops lets you explore the corners of Requiem in objective-based missions and help uncover the secrets of the mysterious Forerunner world.

    A massive-scale adventure that builds off the “Halo 4” story, access to Spartan Ops is included with “Halo 4” at no additional charge —effectively delivering two campaign experiences in one game.

    - War Games.
    The competitive multiplayer modes of “Halo 4,” known asWar Games,take place on the combat deck of the UNSC Infinity and revive the visceral and immersive experiences that “Halo” multiplayer is famous for. Featuring 10 diverse and action-packed new multiplayer maps at launch, “Halo 4” introduces a broad variety of immersive new game modes and strategies to help you progress your Spartan-IV career, while delivering an experience that’s distinctly “Halo.”

    - Total combat freedom and player progression.
    “Halo 4” features a vastly expanded suite of new multiplayer modes, weapons, vehicles and armor abilities; a new loadout and player progression system; and a new armor modification system that introduces gameplay-enhancing customizations for the first time in a “Halo” game. These advancements can be used in both Spartan Ops and certain War Games matchmaking playlists, empowering players’ choices, vastly expanding their creative options, and making the experience deeper for core fans and more approachable for newcomers.

    The “Halo 4” player progression system goes beyond simple aesthetic upgrades, encouraging players to invest time and effort to create a Spartan that looks and plays the way they want.     • War Games Map Pack Access

    The competitive multiplayer modes of Halo 4 are known as War Games. The Limited Edition includes access to nine maps - three future competitive multiplayer map packs, each including three locations, available for download post-launch on Xbox LIVE. Yes, you read that correctly; you get nine maps in the form of future DLC with the purchase of the Halo 4 Limited Edition. Score!


    • Specializations

    Everyone will have access to select Specializations, but those that purchase the Halo 4 Limited Edition will receive the ability to unlock six Specializations early, available at launch on Xbox LIVE. You can use them, one at a time, to achieve higher ranks in your Spartan career. In addition to gaining access to new ranks, Specializations unlock new customization options. We’ll be releasing more information about Specializations at E3, so expect additional details about this particular feature then.


    • UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet

    The UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet includes a Spartan armor customization schematic, information about UNSC weapons, an introduction to the massive ship UNSC Infinity, and insight into what it means to be one of humanity’s finest warriors: The Spartan-IVs. Story lovers will especially enjoy this in-fiction offering that provides a glimpse into the indoctrination of Spartans aboard the Infinity.


    • Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn Special Edition

    The Special Edition of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn is a 90-minute extended version of the live-action digital series which will take fans back to the terrifying beginning of the Human/Covenant war, when the Master Chief inspired a young cadet who would eventually become a leader aboard the UNSC’s greatest vessel ever: the UNSC Infinity.

    Digital content also includes in-fiction bonus content that expands the characters and stories of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, special featurette Bringing Gaming into Reality, and a behind the scenes look at the making of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn.

    | Ik vind de Grunts altijd veel te cute, gaan ze dat nu eindelijk eens fixen?! Ik hoor wel bang te worden van mijn vijanden.

    Grunts zijn in Halo 4 zo lelijk dat je niet kunt wachten om ze neer te knallen! Hetzelfde geldt voor de Elites, al waren die sowieso nooit moeders mooiste.​

    | De game wordt dus niet meer door Bungie gemaakt, maar de muziek... wordt dat nog steeds gecomponeerd door Marty O'Donnell?

    Helaas. Neil Davidge en Matt Dunkley verzorgen deze keer de muziek.

    | Spartan Ops. Ik heb die naam eens gehoord. Wat is dat nu precies?

    "It's what we believe is our true innovation, what we want to carry the tradition of Halo and that legacy of bringing innovation to multiplayer," lead Spartan Ops designer Chris Haluke told GI. "Spartan Ops is our episodic, co-op adventure where we have a highly story-driven, almost mini-campaign that the player is involved with, working its way from an over-arching linear story brought down into episodes, and from there individual missions."

    Spartan Ops ties into the side fiction of the UNSC Infinity, a huge ship which provides the backdrop for Halo 4's 'training ground' of multiplayer.

    343 will drop a new episode "of a linear series" every week for Spartan Ops, with each drop featuring five new missions that will "introduce players to new characters, to the ship itself - which we think of as a character," according to creative director Josh Holmes.

    Gamers will "partake in missions which are outside of the Infinity itself. You're going to explore this incredible galaxy that has been created, you're going to visit new locations with your Spartan team."

    Spartan Ops will be the size of a campaign, 343 confirmed, while each episode will feature five missions which tie into the events of the episode.

    Meanwhile, players' characters are persistent across multiplayer as well as Spartan Ops, meaning you can level up in either game type.

    | Botweg gezegd; ik vond de Multiplayer maps van Reach slecht. Of ze waren rechtstreeks uit de campaign gehaald of het was een grijze massa uit Forge. Hoe gaan ze het deze keer aanpakken?

    Nog meer goed nieuws! Deze keer zijn het allemaal unieke maps, speciaal gemaakt voor de MP. Niks uit de campaign en geen Forge blubber.​

    | Armor Lock...?

    Weg. Andere AA's komen wel terug (uiteraard getweaked), maar AL is dood en begraven.

    Overigens is Sprint geen AA meer, en is het nu een Ability wat je altijd tot je beschikking hebt.​

    | Krijgen we ook deze keer weer Forge?

    Ja! Forge wordt ontwikkeld door Certain Affinity. Je hoeft niet bang te zijn; ze hebben ervaring met Halo. Ze hebben map packs gemaakt voor Halo 2, Halo: Reach en hebben meegwerkt aan de ontwikkeling van Halo CE: Anniversary (en Halo Waypoint)


    | Zo zeg, Firefight was awesome, vind je niet? Ben benieuwd wat ze er deze keer mee gaan doen

    Tot zover al het goede nieuws... Er is geen Firefight in Halo 4. Spartan Ops is de vervanger daarvan.​

    | Lag het trouwens aan mij of was Reach...trager dan, laten we zeggen, Halo 3?

    Klopt. Halo 4 gaat weer terug naar Halo 3 qua movement. Je loopt dus sneller en kunt hoger springen.​

    | Zijn er voor de MP weer wat nieuwe speltypes bij gekomen?

    Ja, oa deze: Regicide.

    The gametype is based on a free-for-all Slayer gametype, where the kill leader is designated as the "King" and has a "bounty" on his head that increases with each additional kill. When another player kills the King, they collect the bounty.

    | Wat is de install size voor de game?
    Momenteel is dat voor de SP nog niet bekend, maar wat wel bekend is, is dat de MP een verplichte 8 GB install nodig zal hebben


    At a minimum, you’ll need at least an 8GB USB Flash Drive or an Xbox 360 Hard Drive to play Multiplayer mode in Halo 4. For an optimal experience playing with an Xbox 360 Hard Drive is highly recommended.

    Nee joh, je moet wel tot na de aftiteling blijven zitten , dan had je gezien dat Chief weer in stasis gaat (waar hij dus net in de HAlo 4 trailer uitkwam)

    Mag toch hopen dat ze gewoon de standaard stemmen gaan gebruiken.
