    Geen PC beta is wel vreemd. Van wat ik begreep waren de PC ports niet altijd even goed de laatste paar delen (zo zat de framerate vast aan physics. Als je dan de framerate verdubbelde gingen auto's 500 in plaats van 250 :+). Maar heb lang geen NFS op PC gespeeld dus weet verder niet.

    A) For any driving game a steady frame rate is incredibly important, and with Need for Speed we’re delivering super high production values when it comes to both visuals and sound – as can be seen in our pre-alpha footage of the game. We always look to maximize the game technology with the platform technology for the experience we’re building, which is why the game will run at 30fps on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.     Wheels
    Every good ride needs an awesome set of wheels and in Need for Speed you’ve got plenty of options available to you. Customize all four equally or create individual setups at the front and rear? The choice is yours.

    Select your tires, choose your calipers and freshen up with some brand new brake discs – the depth of choice here will let you create almost anything you want. Once your wheels are ready to hit the road there’s one final item to apply: the rims.

    With hundreds of available rims at your disposal you’ll never be short of options but you’re going to want to ensure they match the rest of your ride’s design. Painting your rims comes in two parts; primary and secondary, and both have the full suite of paint options available. We’ll be going into more detail about in the coming days so be sure to keep your eye out for that.

    Rim size completes your look, from the smallest 14 inches to the largest 22 inches, find that perfect finishing touch. The end result is a set of wheels that ooze personality. Symmetrical beauty or something more radical, which will you go for?

    Front of the Car
    One of the first things you’ll notice when tackling the front of your car is the ability to modify your stance. Whether you are changing the ride height by slamming it to the ground, raising it up, or anything in between, you choose your perfect ride height. Throw in options for rake and both front and rear track width, and you’re on your way to creating something truly unique.

    Suspension tuning is finished up with your camber. With the angle on both the front and rear wheels being set independently you’ve got the ability to create some truly out of this world looking cars.

    Moving onto the body work and chances are you’re now quietly muttering the words ‘carbon fiber’ under your breath, so what better place to begin? Your hood is fully customizable and yes, expect plenty of carbon fiber.

    A great hood is going to need to be accompanied by an equally as impressive bumper, and what’s a bumper without a set ofcanards? Apply some additional style to your bumpers as the front of your car starts to take shape.

    Not happy with your stock headlights? Swap them out for some more fitting for your ride before heading down to the splitterand turning your awesome looking car into an aggressive monster of automotive machinery.

    We’ve already talked about wheels so you’re going to want to pay attention to your fenders. Individually selected at the front and rear, they’ll ensure you can get a really unique look, and let’s be honest, your wheels deserve it.

    Finish it all off with the windscreen. Remove the tint entirely, go for the pitch black look or find that sweet spot in between. Not to be outdone by their larger cousin, the wing mirrors can also be customized, giving you the ability to change their appearance completely. It’s the little touches that go a long way to creating an awesome looking motor, and wing mirrors are just one of these minor details that often get overlooked but are so important to making your ride your own.

    Rear of the Car
    Give everyone you leave behind something to look at by working on the rear of your car, and it would be almost criminal not to start with the spoiler. Whether you’re a fan of the subtle lip look or the monster wing, there’s something for everyone’s tastes. Oh, and if you’re that way inclined you can double stack some of the spoilers. You know what they say, two is better than one!

    Now would be a good time to change up your sound system before swapping out the stock trunk for something that fits the overall design for the car.

    It would be easy to have the rear of your car mirror the front, but this is Need for Speed we’re talking about! Bumper, fendersand canards can all be changed independently from their front-facing counterparts, but even with those looking exactly how you want there’s still more to do.

    Not content with the way your car is sounding? Swapping out the exhaust for another is a quick and easy way to ensure it’s hitting all the right notes as you cruise around the nocturnal streets of Ventura Bay. Having attached your new exhaust you’ll want to fit the diffuser of your choice before finalizing the rear with a new set of taillights.

    The last thing left to do is to modify your licence plate, before you stand back and admire the beauty now sat in your garage. What was once just a vision in your mind is now your personal fully-modded ride, ready to take Ventura Bay by storm.

    You’ve completed the visual customization and tuned the handling of your ride but while it’s turning heads and handling absolutely perfectly there’s one thing that’s missing, the performance upgrades.

    Under the hood sits a set of parts just waiting to be upgraded. All with the goal of improving your car’s performance output. Want quicker acceleration or a greater top speed? Then the performance upgrades are perfect for you.

    Air Filter
    The air filter protects the engine from breathing in dust and dirt particles. Stock filters are generally more restrictive in air flow than aftermarket. Step up to a high performance air cleaner and filter that works more efficiently and helps increase horsepower.

    Cooling System
    An intercooler is used to cool the air charge before it enters the throttle body. Cooler air is more dense with Oxygen molecules, giving the engine more air and fuel to make more power.

    Intake Manifold
    The intake manifold allows air to be equally delivered into the cylinders. An aftermarket manifold increases the amount of air being directed into the cylinders, which ultimately produces more engine power.

    Fuel System
    As you add more air to the engine, you need to balance it with greater amounts of fuel. Upgrading the fuel system will maximise fuel delivery to the engine providing a boost to your car’s power.

    Forced Induction
    Forced Inductions come in many forms. A Supercharger will be most noticeable at lower RPM’s unlike a Turbocharger which tends to provide less boost until the engine is running at higher RPM’s. In all cases though, installing or upgrading your forced induction will give your engine an excess of torque providing an easy way to get fast, and more importantly, get fast quick.

    Electric System
    A lighter battery can shed precious weight from the car, while good grounds and electrical connections ensure your ECU and ignition are always working properly.

    Ignition
    As you upgrade your engine it will need more spark. A high performance ignition produces more voltage to ignite the fuel inside the cylinders, kick starting the combustion needed to get your wheels turning.

    ECU
    An aftermarket ECU will provide cohesion to all installed components of the engine. The brains of your vehicle; this will make sure all elements work together, increasing efficiency and maximizing output.

    Engine Block
    The Engine block is the foundation of an internal combustion engine. Upgrading this is a good way to increase your engine’s durability so it can handle more horsepower.

    Cam Shaft
    The cam shaft operates the valve in the cylinder head. Upgrading to aftermarket changes the character of your cam, mainly defined by the valve’s lift and duration, thus producing more peak power.

    Cylinder Heads
    Cylinder head upgrades can change the size and design of the ports which define the volume of air and fuel that flow to the combustion chamber. Better airflow is the key to allowing your engine to create additional power.

    Exhaust Manifold
    Performance exhaust manifolds, or headers, are the first place the exhaust has to go as it exits the combustion chamber. Upgrading your manifolds will allow for increased flow, and in turn will help produce more power.

    Exhaust System
    Exhaust gasses travel through your exhaust system as they exit the engine. A less restrictive exhaust can wake up the engine and provide extra flow.

    Clutch
    The more power your engine makes, the stronger the clutch will have to be. An aftermarket clutch will allow the car to shift faster, allowing you to reach top speeds a lot quicker.

    Nitrous System
    The nitrous system can be upgraded to refill over time or by performing driving actions; drift, near missing, oncoming, air and slipstreaming. Nitrous is perfect for those moments when a quick injection of speed is required.

    Suspension
    Upgrading your suspension allows you to tune your springs between varying levels of stiffness and softness.

    Differential
    Upgrading the differential will allow you to adjust between a locked and opened diff in the Handling Tuning section.

    Tires
    Installing new tires affects your tire traction which changes the characteristics of your handling.

    Brakes
    Installing improved brakes allows you to increase or decrease brake strength and adjust brake bias between front & rear.

    Handbrake
    Installing an improved handbrake gives you full licence to tune your handbrake strength between weak and strong.

    Sway Bars
    Sway Bars are anti-roll bars, and by upgrading yours you’ll open up the amount of body-roll (sideways movement) on your car.

    Personalized Handling Style
    How your car looks is just one piece of the puzzle and owning a beautiful car means nothing if driving it becomes the most unpleasant of tasks. Of course, handling is such a subjective area that no two people are the same, with tastes and preferences varying wildly.

    Describing handling of any car is always a difficult task as so much of it comes through the feedback you feel in the controller and again, personal preference comes into play.

    It’s for this reason that in Need for Speed you will have access to a dedicated suite of handling options, allowing you customize the handling of your ride to exactly how you like it.

    Want something that slides into a corner with ease? Simple enough, just switch it towards drift and you’re good to go. Perhaps you’re more inclined to drive with your tires firmly planted on the road. If so, grip is likely where you’ll find that sweet spot.

    Need for Speed has a long history that spans over twenty years and an almost equal number of titles, so creating a handling system that felt right for everyone was one of the biggest tasks we would undertake.

    We did this by splitting the handling into two sections. Those that prefer the handling of older Need for Speed titles will likely find themselves leaning towards a grip setup and for players that enjoy the handling of more recent Need for Speed games, a drift setup will have you feeling at home. Or perhaps you’ll enjoy a setting somewhere in the middle, the choice, as always, is down to you.

    For those wanting a quick and easy way of setting their handling style it’s as easy as moving a master slider left (towards drift) to right (towards grip).

    Any player that wants to dive deeper into their handling setup can do so with ease. A number of options are available, allowing you to drill down and get your ride handling exactly how you like it.

    Front and Rear Tire Pressure
    Changing tire pressure is a way to fine-tune the grip relationships between front and rear. Whether adding more grip to the front or less grip to the rear it will result in a car that initiates drift more easily. Likewise removing grip from the front or adding grip to the rear will result in a car that is less likely to lose its back end when turning.

    Steer Response
    A fast steer response enables more reactive, twitchier steering suited to drift. A slower steer response is steadier and more controlled.

    Steer Range
    A wider steer range makes it easier to maintain a deep drift. A narrow steer range produces less lateral slip making it less likely.

    Braking Drift Assist
    Braking Drift Assist ON increases the possibility to initiate a braking drift. Turning this OFF decreases the possibility to initiate a braking drift.

    Drift Stability Assist
    Drifting Stability Assist makes maintaining & controlling drifts easier. Turning this OFF disables stability controls when drifting. Proceed with caution!

    Launch Control
    Launch Control enables stability controls when taking off, reducing fish tailing & wheel spin.

    Differential
    A locked differential will mean the left and right wheels consistently spin at the same rate. This results in more wheel spin and therefore encourages drifting.

    Downforce
    Downforce enhances traction at high speeds, encouraging stability when cornering.

    Brake Strength
    Strong brakes lock the wheels earlier producing slip which can encourage drifting.

    Brake Bias
    Adjusting the brake bias increases weight transference when braking. When this is moved towards the front it can destabilise the car more easily transitioning into a drift.

    Tire Traction
    Equipping tires with less/more traction will result in the vehicle transitioning into drift more/less easily when steering.

    Handbrake Strength
    A strong handbrake makes it easier to turn 180 degrees. A weaker handbrake can be used for drift initiation with less loss of speed & potentially a method for chaining drifts.

    Spring Stiffness
    Spring Stiffness can be used to tune the squat and dive behaviour of the vehicle. This is its forwards/backwards suspension movement.

    Sway Bars
    Sway Bars can be used to tune the amount of body roll the vehicle produces. This is its left/right suspension movement.

    Nitrous
    Tuning towards Power will make the nitrous more powerful, but its duration is decreased. Increasing Duration will make the nitrous less powerful, but it lasts longer.

    Nee, geen manual transmission, is een tijdje geleden al bekend geworden. De rede volgens hun is; dat er teveel tegelijk gebeurd en je teveel moet focussen om te kunnen schakelen.

    AHUM! Dat maak ik altijd zelf nog wel uit. Dus rustig cruisen is er niet bij, weer elke keer in die verplichte versnelling blijven hangen. Echt, ik word dit zo beu.

    Hoe lang zit er eigenlijk al geen manual transmission in NFS games? Al behoorlijk wat delen en als ze eens naar hun fans zouden luisteren zou deze optie er al LANG in moeten zitten. Hoe moeilijk kan het zijn?
