Zie jullie in Year 2 Ik zeg, all aboard!
Eyes up, my fellow Guardians, the end of the first year of this long, difficult journey is upon us. We have all worked to ensure the safety of the Traveler and this great City beneath it, and become legend in the process. And for that, I propose a toast. To Dinklebot, without whom, none of us would even be here. I think I speak for all of us when I say that I love you, you little glowing bastard. May we meet again someday. To the Loot Cave, for giving us original Guardians a sense of community, and some sweet items to boot. And some spooky remains. But we don't talk about those. To Deej and the rest of the Bungie dev team. Every day, you sift through the mounds of death threats for not implementing player trading, nerfing weapon x, and complaints about vault space, and go off to make this game more of a masterpiece than it already is. And for that, the community thanks you. To Jester Apogee. You're still ugly. That is all. To Atheon. May your Epilogue be the most badass story ever written. Although, we all know you're still hiding where the sixth chest from us, man. (turns out it's a Playstation Exclusive) To the Sherpas. Without those brave souls, very few of us would have ever completed a raid. I'm serious. We love you guys. To Crota, you're one loveable big green glowing son of a bitch. I am of course only saying that to indirectly call Oryx a bitch. I'm coming for you, bud. To the Prison of Elders. Variks, you are the coolest sounding dudes I've ever met. I'm sure Nolan North will be good and all, but for the sake of all of us, could you audition for the voice of Ghost in Year 3. It would sound good, yes? To the Iron Banner. Actually, no. A banner is a strip of cloth bearing a design. Having one actually made of iron would be horribly impractical. Bungie, please fix. To the Queen. Though your brother may be an asshole, I still think you're awesome, and would love it if you'd text me back for once. To Thorn. Because you shouldn't have to try to get kills. To the Trials of Osiris. I hate you and your stupid lag. Thank you for your time. To all the blink-shotgunners. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. To Gjallarhorn, the king of exotics! whatever the Darkness throws at us, we can count on you to swiftly annihilate them with solar fire. And three cheers for the legendaries! Those trusty companions, who we unfortunately have to leave behind. But do not despair, my fellow Guardians. New death dealing machines wait for us down the road, and I'm not just talking about the Vex! And, most importantly, to us, Guardians. The elite force of badass death dealing warriors, that somehow have stuck with this game and all its flaws, because we see the true beauty in it. Few games can do what Destiny has. Over the past year, I've been part of the greatest community in gaming I've seen in a long, long time. And it only gets better and better every day. Year 2, here we come.
