Final Strike Games and Nexon have revealed Rocket Arena, a 3v3, rockets-only 'shooter where no one dies' - and you can sign up for a PC closed beta now.

Headed to PC and Xbox at launch (with the promise of cross-play), Rocket Arena pits teams of 3 cartoony characters against one another, using rockets to knock others off the map. The more blasts a player takes, the easier it is for them to be knocked off - essentially, it sounds like it's pitched somewhere between Quake and Super Smash Bros.

Rocket Arena marks Final Strike Games' first project, but it comes with some shooting pedigree - two of its studio leads have worked on the Halo series, while other staff have lent their talents to the likes of Doom 2016 and Just Cause.

Closed Beta is next week:
There's no firm release date as yet, but an initial closed beta will run from May 23-29, and you can sign up to be a part of it right now.

The beta will come with 6 characters to try (each with different rocket types and special abilities), six maps and five modes, ranging from knockout PvP to a co-op PvE horde mode to Rocketball, which sounds a lot like rocket-assisted football.

By working together, the companies aim to deliver more enhanced entertainment experiences for their worldwide customers. These efforts will also include building better development platforms for the content creator community.

Ik voorspel veel meer nieuws en aankondigingen voor de volgende generatie consoles uit zijn van Sony en Microsoft.

 

Welke remake gaat het worden denken jullie ik zag al Red Faction and TimeSplitters voorbijkomen.
2de game zal wel Saints Row zijn daar kwam laatst op het offciele twitter kanaal ook iets over voorbij.

After lots of leaks and rumours surrounding Watch Dogs 3, two sources have spoken to Spiel Times regarding the matters. From what they’ve claimed, Ubisoft will drop a teaser for Watch Dogs 3 around May 24th, revealing some basic elements of the game.
According to our first source, one of their developer friends spoke to a former Ubisoft employee who has worked on Watch Dogs 3. The ex-employee confirmed most of the potential leak to be true. Our other source, a developer, confirmed the setting of the game to be London(which was already confirmed by Jason Schreier), and that they have contacts at Ubisoft, one of whom is working on the next Far Cry game.
From the long list of details leaked earlier in February, the following were confirmed by our sources –

• You’ll play as a half-Asian half-English female protagonist named Sarah.
• As Sarah, you’ll work for an anti-terrorist organisation branch that deals with cybersecurity.
• Skateboarding and graffitis will be available in the game.
• Lethal weapons won’t appear in the game. However, our source wasn’t entirely sure about it.
• Like in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, we may have the choice to pick between a male and a female protagonist. However, our source wasn’t entirely sure about it.

Destijds WD 1 bij launch gekocht en die vond ik verschrikkelijk. Weet niet in wat voor en/of, opzicht, WD 2 beter is, maar ik voel allerminst de behoefte om weer een WD game te spelen. De beste reeks die Ubisoft regelmatig op de markt brengt is met afstand nog altijd Assassins Creed imo.

 

1e vond ik ook niet veel aan. WD2 waren erg leuke missies en Frisco was aantrekkelijk. Ik ben zeker benieuwd naar deel 3 in London.

Ben benieuwd of onze PS4 games ook een grafische boost krijgen op de PS5, zoals het geval is met xbox 360 games op XBO X ...

 

Ja dat is echt top.. ipv van 8 hele seconden terug naar 0,8 seconden. Phoeeeee. Daar word ik dus echt niet warm van.
Wat is nou 8 seconden wachten tot een game geladen is.. vroegâh deed je een cassette bandje in de dataplayer en moest je 20min wachten tot je game geladen was. Kijk toen dat werd versneld door de komst van harddrives was ik blij. Maar 8 vs 0,8 boeit mij niet..

Maar goed, dat zijn loading times. De hele PS5 zal lekker snel zijn en dat komt een vlotte gameplay natuurlijk ten goede.

 

George RR Martin has apparently joined forced with FromSoftware, creators of the git gud Soulsborne collection of videogames like Bloodborne, Dark Souls, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. But don’t assume it’s going to be set in the world of Game of Thrones, as rumours have it that this game - titled Great Rune, supposedly - is set in the Norse world, exploring Norse mythology and all its dark legends.

Whisperings began circling on the internet in early 2019 and went into a lot more detail about what players can expect: you’ll be invading kingdoms and stealing the powers of their rulers after a FromSoftware-style battle, which will then serve you well when you have to fight other kings. All I can say is that I hope Martin hasn’t forgotten that he’s also got the Game of Thrones book series to finish, as after that Game of Thrones ending there’s a hell of a lot of things people are going to want to Martin write (and justify) in his own words…
