Microsoft didn't show it to the public, because as a Xenon game, they wanted to wait until the new console's unveiling, which is currently expected to happen at CES in early January. But a friend of mine programs at Bungie, and they were showing off their Xbox 2 game (it's an RPG, not Halo 3 BTW) in the same room. Perfect Dark Zero (he said that probably won't be the final name) came on, and he says it has some of the most amazingly realistic graphics ever (he described them as being close to the Final Fantasy movie). Water looks truly real, physics are unbelievable, lighting is fantastic. He says no other Xenon game being shown looked as good, even the fighting game (which sadly is not KI. ...but it doesn't stop there. He said the gameplay is "nuts" and though that's all he gave me for a description, he did say it would definitely be the next "Halo" (which means a lot coming from him). I usually wouldn't have said anything, but this site seems small enough to be safe, and you guys are so starved for info that as a fellow Rare fan, I'd go insane if I couldn't even anticipate what the game would look like. Posted: Oct 26 2004, 03:38 AM The games were all in movie form, BTW. Nothing was playable. He said the movie was mostly level fly-bys but there were a few clips of "nuts" gunfights. It should be public and playable on the show floor of E3 2005, though. Those of you lucky enough to go to E3 will probably not want to leave. But as I said, it should be shown at CES with the announcement of the Xenon, so perhaps it will be the same movie he saw, only now shown to the public. Ik geloof wel dat PD op de 2e XBox komt. Maar ik vraag em echt af of dit waar is wat hier gezegd word. Of dit echt door iemand uit die kamer is gezegd of niet. Als er een NDA op zit zeggen de meeste mensen het niet. Lijkt me ook wat té toevallig: Een goee vriend van mij werkt bij Bungie en heeft het filmpje gezien. Waarom zou hij het vertellen als hij de reputatie van zijn vriend in gevaar kan brengen. Maar goed, mocht het waar zijn zou het wel tof zijn. Het zou ook best zo kunnen zijn als je al kijkt naar een groot spel zoals Morrowind op een next gen console. Dan kunnen ze met een shooter helemaal wel wat leuks.
hmm zou dat dan betekenen dat de specs van "xenon" al vast liggen. dat zou dan wel eens een nadeel kunnen , er zou immers nog een nieuwe techniek kunnen komen die beter is en dan zit jij vast aan je oude techniek. nu ben ik daar niet zo bang voor als die vent zegt dat het het mooiste water is dat ie gezien heeft.
Ik geloof er ook niet echt veel van, volgens mij heeft bungie gezegd dat ze niet meteen aan Halo 3 zouden gaan werken. Maar perfect dark is een van de beste spellen ooit dus laat maar komen.
@ hessel: wie heeft het hoer pver halo 3 er staat wel dat bungie een rpg liet zien, mischien ben je daar mee in de war? maa klint idd, helaas, ongeloofwaardig
