The volleyball part of DOAX begins as an afterthought to the girls, but really ends up being the greatest strength of the game. The fact that every character in the game is showing off plenty of flesh never became irrelevant even when I was locked in a close match where every bump, set and spike was crucial. Beautifully rendered women and solid volleyball is what was required for this game to be taken seriously, so in this regard, the game was very satisfying. However the item system that's intriguing initially and ends up scattered combined with some missing presentation elements end up being bigger negatives because the rest of DOAX is so well done. Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball wasn't attempting to do too much more than put the voluptuous DOA girls on a beach playing volleyball. Surround sound separation is great but doesn't really add much to this type of game. 7.0 Gameplay The volleyball engine is remarkable and the peripheral gambling, shopping and relationship management elements all serve to complement it. 9.0 Lasting Appeal The single player game is only deep if you love collecting for collection's sake. Otherwise, the two player head to head matches are where it's at for DOAX. 8.0 OVERALL SCORE (not an average) 9.2
sorry hoor, maar DOAX lijkt me echt een bout-game.. een beetje volleyballen met lekkere wijven in bikinis die je amper nog bikini's kunt noemen .. de schone dames; okeej!!! maar waarom volleyballen, we hebben toch al DOA3... Dit is gewoon een soort uitmelken van de borsten van de lady's (get it? ;-))
