Hele goede video van hem. De eerste paar minuten praat die over hoe je weer steeds vaker in games, zoals DD2, niet aan het handje genomen gaat worden. Minder saai van A naar B rennen en meer zelf ontdekken. Het publiek volgens CapCom is dus niet dom, maar mag het mooi zelf uitzoeken. Me like!

 

Oh, ik zie het. Was me nog niet eens opgevallen dat Red Alert 1 ook in die remaster package zit.

 

Wel dikke collab hoor met Bebop. Hartstikke netjes.

 

Uit de preview: goede combat, wereld so-so.

 

Nioh's level en world design was helemaal kut dus verbaast me niks. Combat zijn ze wel goed in.

 

Beetje jammer, had qua wereld wel zoiets als Ghost of Tsushima willen hebben.

 

Zojuist Trails in the Sky First Chapter uitgespeeld. Ik ben bang dat ik in de rabbit hole van deze JRPG serie ga vallen. Wat een goede game zeg jongens. Alleen geschikt wanneer je van verhalen met een slow burn houdt en veel leeswerk niet schuwt. De beloning is een origin verhaal met veel gelaagdheid in de karakters en de wereld waarin zij leven. Aan de oppervlakte lijkt het overkoepelende thema heel lichtvoetig en happy go lucky, maar dit is uiteindelijk niets meer dan een masker dat de toeschouwer over het gezicht wordt getrokken. Ik vind dit een groot compliment richting de schrijvers van Trails FC, in een media waarin situaties vaak extreem cliche en oppervlakkig worden beschreven. Het is juist een kunst om de lezer (of speler in dit geval) gebiologeerd te houden, zonder op gehaaste wijze de hele hand te presenteren. Trails FC eindigt met een cliffhanger, dus Second Chapter ga ik zeker ook oppakken. Overigens gespeeld met de EVO VO mod en de Japanse stemmen geven de karakters zeker extra persoonlijkheid (ook al versta ik het niet). Tien punten voor de stemacteur van Olivier! Alles samengevat: dit is precies wat ik zocht in een (J)RPG.

It was released exclusively in Japan on June 11, 2015; 11 years after the game was originally was released for PC. The game has not been officially localized in English, but received a fan made English patch in 2017. [2] The fan made English patch uses XSEED's translation from the PC version of Trails in the Sky (with Evolution-exclusive content translated by their team).

The remake brought many changes to visuals, presentation and gameplay including updated art and voice acting."

De Evolution versie is de PSVita remake, maar in 2015 werden er voor zover ik weet geen of nagenoeg geen Vita games meer in het westen uitgebracht. Dus die versie hebben wij gemist. Op PC Steam koop je in essentie de PSP versie, met wat extra toevoegingen (hogere resolutie, boost knop etc). Een paar slimme gasten hebben de voiceovers van de Evolution remakes weten te scheiden. Geldt ook voor de nieuwe muziek, nieuwe animaties, portretten etc. Is allemaal in aparte mods toe te voegen aan de PC versie. Ik heb ervoor gekozen alles bij het origineel te laten, maar wel de voiceovers toe te voegen. De teksten zijn namelijk niet ingesproken in de Steam versie. Dat leek mij een sfeervolle toevoeging en ik wilde grafisch geen veranderingen aanbrengen omdat de nieuwe stijl soms best afwijkt van het origineel. Dat bleek achteraf de juiste keuze te zijn. De kwaliteit van de voiceovers is goed en het *hele* script is met deze mod ingesproken. Wanneer je over een PSVita bezit en Japans machtig bent zou je natuurlijk ook de originele Evolution discs kunnen najagen.

EDIT: voor geïnteresseerden, Google op SkyInstaller. Dat is de VO versie die ik heb gebruikt. Installatie is een fluitje van een cent.

 

Daar wacht ik dus al jaren op,.. gewoon een goed uitziende remake voor de console,... maar nee het moet weer een mmo achtig spel worden

 

Dune: Spice Wars komt nog het dichtste in de buurt.
