Good points :
- Some imaginative games modes
- Instant Lo-Fi FUN
Bad points :
- Good features are underused.
- Few things to do
- Graphics not a patch on other XboX driving games..
(gaan ze het vergelijken met RSC of Gotham, Wreckless, DUH ?)

One of the cooler titles for the Playstation, back in the day, was Destruction Derby. Most racing games at the time had yet to embrace car damage, so playing Destruction Derby proved to be a unique and fun experience. Well, Xbox fans will be getting a title that looks to be in much the same vain, a game simply called Crash. Rage Software is currently developing for Majesco Crash, which should be released around spring 2002. The game is looking to provide the excitement that Destruction Derby did and a whole lot more. Players will actually gain cash based upon doing extreme car stunts and inflicting damage to opponent's automobiles. This cash should be used for basic upgrades and the buying of new rides. The game is also set to have eight different play modes to keep gamers happy and from too easily getting bored.
Current game features include:
Free for All -- a standard deathmatch-style game;
Stuntman -- where points are scored for pulling off stunts, jumps, spins and destroying breakable objects;
Eliminator -- a race where the last player to pass through successive check points is eliminated;
Offensive and Defensive Driving -- allowing the gamer to take out an opponent in a given time period or take on a two-on-one challenge where the objective is to stay alive;
Target Jumping -- in which the player dodges traffic, hits the ramp and nails a target;
Hunter -- score from hitting a changing designated target;
Multi-tag -- hit every other vehicle in the arena within a given time frame;
Bus Jumping - become a daredevil and go for as many as you can without wrecking.
Something sure to bring joy to gamers is the four player multiplayer mode. Let's hope playing this does not degrade graphics too much, as the early screen shots look very impressive and should go a long way towards showing off the power of the much hyped Xbox. Environments and cars look exceptionally clean and high-res. If this is flowed by a silky smooth frame rate, Rage Software will have a definite winner on their hands. One of the NOMG staff members with an Xbox will be sure to review this game as soon as we have a review copy.
