The latest installment has followed the previous DiRT games (in some areas) which will include: 4 Championships - which will have 50 events ranging from Hoonigan to Destruction derby (more events TBA) Weather - Weather conditions will include Rain, Sun, Snow and Fog. Multiplayer - It's been confirmed that there will be 8 player online and Split screen racing if you just want to race against your friend on the same Console, PC split screen TBA. Youtube integration - Yes you saw correctly Codemasters has brang back the Youtube feature that made DiRT 3 replayable by uploading all you funny moments or your best tricks from disciplines like Gymkhana, and now you will be able to do the same in a discipline like Destruction derby. The amount of upload time that you can record is TBA so watch out for updates. Locations - The Championships will be raced in different locations like San Francisco, Miami, London and Tokyo. If theres anymore locations i will add them. - DiRT Showdown will use both controller and the wheel, where it was previously said that the game will be controller based. - The Youtube feature will focus more on the crashes rather than the racing where as DiRT 3 you could record yourself in a race. - The game will feature night and day racing with some racing performed under floodlights either during the night or day. - Players will be able to issue a Showdown challenge's to friends whether their online or not. - Codemasters will be using Steam as their client for DiRT Showdown. - DiRT Showdown will be using the Updated Ego engine that was used for DiRT 3 Cars: Ford Fiesta H.F.H.V. Trailer doet me denken aan Race Driver Grid. Lijkt zelfs dezelfde track te zijn. Ben benieuwd of deze Dirt wat gaat worden

 

Weather conditions \o/ Dat beloofd wat voor Dirt 4

 

Hmm, lijkt wel of ze steeds een 'spectaculair' iets erbij 'moeten' stoppen. Gymkhana, nu Destruction Durby. Waarom maken ze niet weer eens een 'echte' rally game, met enkel rally rijden en niet al die poespas erbij. Denk niet dat dat er nog gaat komen, zeker niet als het van Codemasters afkomt. Met de jaren vind ik hun games minder en minder worden en sla ik ze over. Bij DTM vond ik ze al achteruit gaan. Dirt was eveneens een achteruitgang, maar nog mwoah en bij gebrek aan beter. Grid vond ik 10x niets en Dirt 2 en 3 heb ik overgeslagen. Betwijfel of ik dit deel wel ga halen. Enerzijds wil ik wel weer een rally game, anderzijds heb ik sterk het gevoel dat de game me tegen gaat vallen.

 

Deze "Showdown" editie draait dan ook nog meer om spektakel.
Voor Dirt 4 wordt gezegd dat het weer écht meer richting rally zal gaan, maar dat is uiteraard afwachten.

Ah, dacht dat dit 4 was. Zeker een add-on voor 3? Dan hoef ik Showdown sowieso niet in de gaten te houden.

 

Lijkt me geen moer aan. Zelfde spel in een ander jasje. Paar nieuwe trackjes en weer een full priced product in de winkel.

 

Nee... Een compleet nieuwe game.

8 ball, boring...

 

Komt deze al in Mei uit?
Lijkt me een beetje kortdag, heb er verder nog niks over gehoord.
Ben wel een enorm grote Codemasters fan, hoop toch dat ze nog eens een vervolg op GRiD of DTM gaan maken wat die heb ik helemaal kapot gespeeld.

 

Er is in een rondleiding door de studio gezegd dat Grid 2 in ontwikkeling is.

Op live staat ie inderdaad al, maar op twitter zie ik ook iemand zeggen dat hij niks kan vinden op steam.
