Dit nieuws vond ik op een Amerikaans XBOX forum.. het betreft Sega en Microsoft. Sega announced today that it has begun meeting with Microsoft (Game Studios) in what could lead to a stock share or a total buyout of the Company. This comes today right off the heels of Sega's major shareholder CSK"which is pressuring the firm to merge with Sammy" or make a move that would lift the financial burden from the five year money losing company. CSK" Spokesman Hitoshi Tani, commented on Sega's press release by saying," Sega has been a great firm to work with over the years but looking at the position they are now in it would be a smart move for the firm to let a bigger more stable company like " Microsoft, lift them from the burden thats been surrounding them for some time now." Mij goed, zolang er maar niet zo'n verschrikkelijke sonic game xbox komt vervuilen, dat zijn echt suckarse games Xbox exclusive sport games lijkt mij niet goed voor de comptetie met EA trouwens... Arghl...
Als dit goed gaat is het erg positief voor de XBOX.. Dan zal MS aandelen hebben in SEGA en dat staat garant voor veel ""special treatment"". Als ik aan sega's beste werk denk ,denk ik niet aan de sport games maar vooral aan de Sonic series, Virtua Fighter series, Panzer Dragoon, Shenmue, Shinobi, Sega Rally,JSR,Gunvalkyrie en dergelijken... Trouwens is SEGA altijd iemand die met iets nieuws en fresh komt qua games..ze zouden naast Phantasy Star Online met wat nieuwe projecten voor Live kunnen aankomen..
Laat sega zoals het nu is. Ze hebben echt coole games op alle consoles en anders is er nog meer concurrentie. Maar als the big N het wilt overkopen of sony dan moet MS toch ff gauw die boel overkopen. Maar het liefst zie ik sega zoals ze nu zijn.
als sega iets moet maken voor de xbox laat het dan daytona zijn incl. live ondersteuning of club kart. dit zijn iig spellen waar ik op wacht. maar goed sega is een groot bedrijf die uit diverse onderdelen bestaat. het lijkt me toch sterk dat alle onderdelen worden verkocht. wat moet microsoft of e.a. met een arcade divisie of gokkasten? de flipper afdeling is een paar jaar geleden al verkocht (aan stern?) de tijd zal het leren.......
De Xbox hardware doet tegenwoordig ook aan arcade hallen enzo toch? Of heb ik dat nou fout. /me ruikt meer Sega
die verhalen gaan al jaren. zoals de dreambox die op een windows variant loopt. enkele arcade machines van sega die op een dreambox variant werkt enz.
Ik denk dat als ze SEGA laten zoals het nu is, ze over enkele jaren failliet zullen zijn. Dit zou natuurlijk helemaal zonde zijn. Dus laat Microsoft maar komen, SEGA heeft altijd wel wat moois in ontwikkeling.
