New downloadable maps and other free additional goodies are promised and easily accessible from the main menu. Unlike some other Xbox Live games, all the new downloadable UC stuff will be completely free of charge.
As previously reported, vehicles are no longer included in Unreal Championship. They apparently just didn’t fit, gameplay-wise.
Like I said, I wish I could have spent more time with the game to get a better idea of how well online UT on a console will work. But as things stand right now, less than a month before the game’s release, Unreal Championship promises to be a perfectly playable, fun, and solid game. Are the new maps, slightly tweaked gameplay, and voice communicator enough to merit a separate purchase if you’re already a happy UT2003 player? Beats me. But for you console-only types, Unreal Championship shouldn’t disappoint.
