SINGAPORE, 12 October 2004 – Microsoft Singapore announced today that the Xbox Live Modus MasterCard by Maybank, Singapore's first prepaid card solution for Xbox Live , will be available this holiday season. This newly developed payment solution offers Singaporeans an additional, alternative payment method to register for the Xbox Live service and to purchase premium content.

No annual fees or subscriptions : Users will find no hidden costs in the Modus Card
No minimum balance to maintain : Unlike debit cards, the Modus card does not require users to maintain a minimum saving account balance
Security in making online payments : Since you control the amount you store in the card, you risk less if your card is stolen. In addition, you can limit the spending limit from as low as S$500, up to $3,000 per day.
