Ik hoop btw dat die humor van in de trailer ook in het volledige spel blijft zitten. (dansende robotje bv. )
Borderlands Hands-On Previews!
News outlets all across the web are posting their hands-on impressions of Borderlands from our recent European and American press tours! We gathered up lots of video game journalists and sat them in front of Borderlands, and their articles are hitting the web now. Journalists played through the game's introduction to get a feel for the mechanics, and were then transported to a much later point in the game to experience some high-energy co-op fun.
Here is a list of previews that are out so far! Thanks to MasterMenace and all our community members who are rounding up, sharing, and discussing all the new information!
GiantBomb "We Played Borderlands" - While it's a bit tempting to claim that Borderlands could be the big surprise release of 2009, I don't think I'd be surprised at all if this game turned out to be great. So far, it looks nice and seems really fun to play.
GiantBomb video Interview with Randy
Destructoid "Preview: Borderlands" - The much touted gun systems seems to be just as expected. There are millions of non-sequitur weapons that you'll find, some more effective than others, and it's always neat to see what bizarre weapon will pop out of the next baddie.

GamePro "Borderlands Hands-on Roundtable" - So after an hour or two of Borderlands hands-on time, I feel it's safe to say that I've found the online game I'll be playing most this fall
New Screens and Discussion on the Shack
StrategyInformer "Borderlands Preview" - Sampling Xbox 360 code, there’re no surprises therefore when we find that the controls are tight and responsive and the core gameplay itself is incredibly solid. What’s pleasantly surprising however is just how seamlessly integrated the RPG elements alongside the core shooter experience.
1-Up Hands-on with Video - I heal with my bullets. Aim at a monster, and I do damage. Aim at a teammate, however, and my bullets pop off nice little green healing numbers. Hurray, action for all!
Videogamer.com Impressions - Unlike Fallout 3, combat in Borderlands is driven purely by player skill – so if someone’s in your crosshairs when you pull the trigger, they’ll definitely take a bullet; no invisible dice rolls here.
Gamespot Impressions - We opted to play Brick and took immense pleasure activating his blood-lust berserker ability and using the triggers to control our left and right fists as we ploughed through waves of enemy midgets.
Kotaku "It Shoots Rockets!" - And, oh yes, it's a game that can't believe how awesome it is. As in: It can randomly generate weapons and then describe them, having crafted one gun during my time with it that the game described with the phrase, "Holy shit, it shoots rockets!"
G4 Video Interview with Randy
G4 Hands-on - Oh, and one of the grenade mods makes them teleport in a straight line toward your enemies. Yes, that’s right, teleporting grenades. These are the grenades of the future. These are the grenades that my grandchildren will be throwing at the evil robots in the coming wars. |
edit: Ik ga em denk ik alleen al pre-orderen om nieuwe IP's en ideeën te steunen.
