Report: Bethesda has something secret in store for E3 [Update]
Bethesda probably don't have any plans for new game announcements around or at E3, so sayeth the publisher's VP, Pete Hines. But, wait, what's that, Famitsu -- that might not be so?
According to the latest issue of the Japanese magazine (via Andriasang), Bethesda, along with a myriad of other big name publishers are said to have unannounced wares on tap, with the Fallout company opting to list "secret" under the surprise category. Hmm.
Should Bethesda have something new to announce at the show, one has to wonder where or how they'd roll it out. The publisher isn't holding a press conference, and their confirmed line-up of on display software includes only Brink, Fallout: New Vegas, Hunted: Demon's Forge, and RAGE. Anything beyond that, including the long-awaited debut of DOOM 4, was expected at QuakeCon in August. Could one of the hardware manufactures pimp whatever secrets they're hiding?
While this remains a mystery, and Bethesda aren't likely to comment on it, let the speculation begin. The only thing I can think of is the official reveal of either Elder Scrolls V, or ZeniMax Online's MMO, Elder Scrolls Online.
[Update]: False alarm. Looks like it will indeed be QuakeCon before anything new from Bethesda is dropped. "We’ve announced everything we’re showing and talking about at E3," said Pete Hines.
