Naomi Hunter
Metal Gear Solid 4 (Konami)
There are lots of purty things to look at in MGS4, but it´s nefarious-and-then-not-so-nefarious Dr. Naomi Hunter that has our blood pumping. First, she turns Snake into a crusty curmudgeon with the FoxDie virus in the first game in the Solid series, then she plays all coy temptress before saving the day. We´re confused, but not complaining.
Anya Stroud
Gears of War 2 (Epic Games)
C´mon, Marcus Fenix—somewhere in between gory chainsawing, endless adventuring, and gratifying curbstomping, there´s a little "you" time. And, if we were you, we´d be hanging around the sexiest mili-chick around: Lieutenant Anya Stroud. But it looks like you´ve already taken our advice—We saw the look she gave you when the city of Jacinto was being destroyed in the background. Marcus, you dog.
Kendra Daniels
Dead Space (EA Games)
If Dead Space taught us anything, it´s that even when you´re lost in space, there are hotties to be found. Protagonist Isaac Clarke gets stranded in a space station after an outbreak of alien forms devoured his crew members, but the deep space fine Kendra survives and uses her nerd smarts to help you.
Catwoman
MK vs. DC Universe (Midway)
If the eponymous movie turned you off, this new reprisal has two reasons why the well-clawed human feline is still relevant: She likes whips and she wears leather. There are two other reasons, but we can´t quite put our finger on them. (Really. We can´t. They´re not real, in more ways than one.)
Zoey
Left 4 Dead (Valve)
Usually we´d be turned off women who go on homicidal rampages. But, a girl who can shoot her way through a zombie infestation and turn indomitable Tanks into hunking piles of rotting flesh? She´s got out vote for "Hottest Girl in Games Named Left 4 Dead."
Sophitia Alexandra
Soul Calibur IV (Namco Bandai)
The Athenian goddess has been punishing opponents since the beginning of the Soul series, but her role has taken on more importance with the invasion of Star Wars characters Darth Vader, Yoda, and The Apprentice (not the Trump one, genius). Nevertheless, with blade and shield in hand, Sophitia still knows how to heat things up—she´s is the daughter of a Greek baker, making her, literally, the best thing since sliced bread.
Natasha Volkova (Gina Carano) & Special Agent Tanya Adams (Jenny McCarthy)
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 (EA Games)
Natasha has the sniper skills to pay the bills while Tanya and her amphibious techniques make us want to go swim in the deep end. We couldn´t quite choose which of these hotties would break the Cold War stalemate, so we included both. Everybody wins!
Trish
Devil May Cry 4 (Capcom)
Psychologists have speculated that guys look for girls that look like their mother, and Dante seems to have gotten the (creepy) notice. Created from the mold of the protagonist´s mum, Trish was initially a servant of the king of the demon world, Mundus. But, chicks like guys with huge swords, so it doesn´t surprise us that the cold-blooded cutie had a change of heart and now fights—in skimpier outfits than ever!—alongside the white-haired swordsman.
Maria Sharapova
Top Spin 3 (2K Sports)
One of the hottest women on the WTA Tour already, Sharapova´s video game replica deserves a nod for giving us a reason to do the ol´ back and forth…and then play the video game.
Detective Chase Linh (Played by Maggie Q)
Need for Speed Undercover (EA Games)
Panned by most critics (including us), Undercover´s only redeeming value is getting the chance to ride alongside the Balls of Fury star. Movies will get their revenge when Ms. Q will reportedly star in the 99.9-percent-likely-to-be-a-shitty-video-game-film King of Fighters movie in 2010.
Celeste
Mirror´s Edge (EA Games)
Good luck trying to catch this blonde-haired bombshell. While you control the slightly less sexy, but equally elusive Faith throughout the game, Celeste is the one that´ll have your heart racing upon first glance. Or, it could be a heart attack. We´d get that checked out, dude.
Elle Holloway
Silent Hill Homecoming (Konami)
After getting attacked by disfigured zombie nurses wielding steak knives, we were glad that we finally bumped into someone who didn´t greet us with, "Braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaains." Even better, she´s that sexy childhood friend who never seemed to be interested in you. Now that there are rabid dogs and scissor-handed gremlins prowling the streets of Silent Hill, she´s all like, "Ohhhhhh, Alex, please come and save me! I´ll love you forever." Maybe.
Lola del Rio
Grand Theft Auto IV (Rockstar Games)
Rockstar´s box cover girl has been a series staple, titillating the minds of young men (and paying customers) of Liberty City, San Andreas, and Vice City for years. While main character Niko Bellic lands in LC looking for a new life in GTA IV, Lola returns to doing what she does best and, coincidentally, if you make a trip down to the docks, she´ll give you the "immigration special."
Chun-Li
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (Capcom)
If you don´t know who this is, you haven´t lived, young sir. The thick-thighed mixed martial artist has been kicking dudes in the face since you were five years old, yet she hasn´t aged a day. In fact, she may have gotten hotter.
Elika
Prince of Persia (Ubisoft)
Let´s break this down: The Prince, seeking a donkey full of gold, winds up stranded in a desert palace with a Princess clothed in a barely-there outfit and endowed with magical "healing" powers. Then, instead of insta-bedding her, he goes off on a 12-hour platforming adventure to fight off hideous ghostly beings and other atrocities raping the defenseless kingdom. Moron!
Lara Croft
Tomb Raider Underworld (Eidos Interactive)
While girls wearing well-placed fabric have been part of video games for a long time—we´re looking at you, Metroid´s JUSTIN BAILEY cheat code—the maestra of guns akimbo started the trend of hot, realistic-looking girls in video games. More than a decade later, she´s reappeared in the latest iteration sporting a variety of wet suits, dry suits, jungle gear, and her traditional tight-fitted short shorts, proving she´s not ready to cede any ground to the competition. |
