Here's your best bets on the first set of bases (assuming you're in the Heavy Tank. The light will mostly work this way as well, but you'll have to change it up slightly):
**Choice 1** Charge A on the right side, along the mountain-side, so that you wind up on the right side of A. Stay about halfway between the fence and cliff you plowed through, and A itself (to help avoid RPG and AT fire from the construction side, plus the trees help block it, and also so you can watch for C4ing snipers a bit). Annnd, just blow the living hell out of the A building. Just shoot out every wall and it will fall very quickly and destroy A without ever having to arm it at all. Usually you'll have it blown down by the time a 3rd enemy even runs over there.
**Choice 2** This is what I personally do. Go down the left mountain path. As soon as your tank levels out at the bottom of the mountain, move out to the left just slightly. Start spotting (press the back button on the 360) the construction site - you might get 1 or 2 if you're lucky at first. You'll notice inbetween you and the construction site (the building with the Heavy MG and mounted AT that you spawn at on defense), there's 1 or two trees, that are preventing you from spotting the whole construction site. Blow or shoot them down.
Now you have full view of the construction site. Spot like crazy. Once the site lights up like a Christmas tree with all the red triangles, gun down and blow up everything that moves, starting with the AT gun because that'll take you out, and then blow up the Heavy MG at the top so it can't mow down your teammates for a while.
Once those are gone, occasionally do a quick spotting check of the building at the very front of B and the crates lined up to the left of it. There will always be 1 or 2 engineers hiding there to try to rocket you because they're pissed that you killed them in the construction site, lol. If at any point you get hit with a rocket, back it up the mountain trail about halfway, hop out and repair it, and then come back down and do it all again.
If you can't seem to spot any targets after you've cleared the site the first time? Just start spraying bullets on it and shooting shells there anyway. That's what cover fire is, it doesn't matter if anyone's there or not. The intent is to keep the enemy's head down and discourage him from going up there in the first place. And, sometimes people hide behind beams and stuff, and they're there but you can't spot them using the back button, and sometimes you'll get lucky and hit one or blow him away.
Now, after you've cleared the construction site twice and they seem to not be going there anymore, and you can't spot anyone infront of B? It's probably ok to move up a bit.
Take the left road, that goes to the left of the crates on the left side of B (your left, as the attacker I mean). Once you get past the first set of crates, you'll notice a gap, before the second set of crates. Stick close to the first set of crates, with the length of your tank body being paralell to the crates. Move forward only enough for you to see the AT in the construction site. From this location, the AT on the ground can't hit you, you have a perfect shot and line of site on the construction site AT, and MG, and most of the site, and any RPG's from the right side of the map can't hit you. Infact, even if someone gets on the construction site AT, if you back up along those crates quick, he'll usually hit the crates or miss you, you're mostly protected by them.
Plus, you now have the side-effect that your team can see they have a tank in the area, and they're likely to just charge straight into B and arm it. And when they do? You also have a good line of site on the fence by B, where the defenders pour through to disarm B. So you can mow down and blow up the people coming through the fence and prevent them from getting into B. Even if you don't see them, rake your machine gun back and forth to discourage them from charging in on that side.
The most important thing though is to ALWAYS BRING A GUNNER. NEVER GO ANYWHERE IN A VEHICLE ALONE.
Also, when selecting your kit, move all the way to the right under 3rd Specialization. Under that tab you'll see Veh. Alt. Fire. This is your alternate fire on the tanks. For example, on the heavy tank you get not only your main turret with the explosive shell, but you get a machine-gun for yourself too to use with you alternate fire button! On the light tank, you get a machine gun when you're attacking, or when defending with the Bradley, you get a laser guided missile like the mounted AT's. With that Bradley, you can take out heavy tanks pretty easily. Hit them in the site with the guided missile, and then use your auto-cannon (6-fire straight-shot explosive on the main gun) to hit them in the side, preferrably towards the back. And of course hit them directly in the back if you can! That's the weakest spot.
