IO Interactive is moving into third-party publishing with MindsEye, the new action thriller by Build A Rocket Boy, the AAA team formed by GTA producer Leslie Benzies.

Build A Rocket Boy is the huge new studio formed by Leslie Benzies, the Rockstar veteran best known as one of the key people behind Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption series. It's received significant funding since 2018, and is working on numerous projects, including MindsEye and the online game/creation platform Everywhere.

Rayman Remake Development Bolstered by Former Prince of Persia Team
Per our sources close to the situation, the unannounced Rayman Remake is under development with the codename 'Project Steambot', and it's being pieced together by a team located primarily at Ubisoft Milan. This studio has directly contributed to the creation of more than two dozen Ubisoft games over a twenty-year window.

Our sources have also confirmed that Michel Ancel, the creator of Rayman (and other franchises like Beyond Good & Evil), is in place as a consultant. This has raised some concerns among team members, least of all because Ancel found himself embroiled in a 'toxic leadership' debacle pioneered by a French news outlet in 2020.

It has been estimated that around a dozen developers from the disbanded Prince of Persia team have migrated to work on the Rayman Remake. Elsewhere, other developers have pivoted to work on Beyond Good & Evil 2 and the next Ghost Recon title.
