Omdat jij sites met tabellen nogal 2001 vind kun je me misschien wel helpen.

Ik heb een site met tabellen, maar daar wil ik vanaf omdat het met CSS sneller aan te passen is en omdat je site dat minder fouten bevat volgens het W3C Validation.

Nu vond ik op Deze site een tutorial om een site te maken, met een header, drie kolommen, alles zonder tabellen. Precies wat ik zoek.

Toen ik die tutorial ging uitwerken kwam ik al snel een probleem tegen. Ik zie dat de site in de verschillende resoluties over de hele breedte wordt uitgemeten, de linker- en rechterkolom behouden een vaste breedte, maar de middenkolom wordt een stuk breder/smaller. Het is de bedoeling dat alle kolommen dezelfe breedte hebben en dat de hele site gecentreerd wordt, in wat voor resolutie dan ook.

Hoe moet ik dat doen zonder tabellen?

Je moet wel actief blijven op hun Engelstalige forum. Daarbij komt wel weer dat af en toe helemaal plat liggen

Hallo, heb even een vraagje. Ik ben namelijk op zoek naar een scriptje wat er voor kan zorgen dat mijn website geen pagina links toont. Ik bedoel hier dus mee dat bijv. als je nu www.sitenaam.nl (deze link is natuurlijk als voorbeeld) gaat dat als je een link indrukt op die pagina dat er dan geen http://www.sitenaam.nl/links.html komt te staan maar gewoon nog steeds www.sitenaam.nl blijft staan dus zonder dat /links.html.

Hoop dat me vraag een beetje duidelijk is, ik heb al een beetje op google gekeken maar weet niet precies waar ik daar onder moet zoeken.

verander de naam van je index.htm, en maak een simpel frames bestandje met maar 1 frame: jouw hoofdpagina.
Noem de frames pagina index.html , en dan zou het moeten werken.

Bull, er word tegenwoordig meer php gebruikt. Daarnaast word er niet alleen css gebruikt maar in combinatie met HTML (tables/frames) ooit de pagina van Microsoft gezien onder bron? En kom nou niet aan met van 'ja die site loopt achter', want aangezien zelfs het grote Microsoft nog steeds werkt met zowel html (tables/frames) als css. Een site waar alles in css is kom je maar heel zelde tegen. Daarom lang leven het kladblok En al waren ze uit, boeiend ik kan hetzelfde (en meer) als de luiaards die css gebruiken.

Microsoft's Internet Explorer is al niet gebouwd volgens de regels van het W3C (world wide web consortium), een van de toonaangevende groepen mensen die afspraken maakt over de inplementatie van programmeertalen als css in sites, browsers etc.

Browsers als Mozilla Firefox, Opera en Netscape en ook kleinere zoals Safari beginnen steeds meer terreinwinst te maken op dit gebied.
toch gebruikt het grootste deel van de internetgebruikers nog IE waardoor je de site erop moet afstellen -en workarounds en hacks gebruiken-

Niet, developers developpen niet volgens standaarden, maar testen alleen in IE. Daarom werkt het het beste in IE. Mijn sites werken (in eerste instantie) altijd perfect in FF en niet in IE. Daarvoor moet je altijd vieze hacks etc gaan gebruiken.

Omdat jij sites met tabellen nogal 2001 vind kun je me misschien wel helpen.

Ik heb een site met tabellen, maar daar wil ik vanaf omdat het met CSS sneller aan te passen is en omdat je site dat minder fouten bevat volgens het W3C Validation.

Nu vond ik op Deze site een tutorial om een site te maken, met een header, drie kolommen, alles zonder tabellen. Precies wat ik zoek.

Toen ik die tutorial ging uitwerken kwam ik al snel een probleem tegen. Ik zie dat de site in de verschillende resoluties over de hele breedte wordt uitgemeten, de linker- en rechterkolom behouden een vaste breedte, maar de middenkolom wordt een stuk breder/smaller. Het is de bedoeling dat alle kolommen dezelfe breedte hebben en dat de hele site gecentreerd wordt, in wat voor resolutie dan ook.

Hoe moet ik dat doen zonder tabellen?

Gewoon de css pakken + de html en het aanpassen. Zelf die css maken is niet te doen aagezien hier vele hacks in toegepast worden. Aanpassen is weinig probleem natuurlijk!
