Assassin's Creed film?

I am a big fan of Assassin's Creed games. First one was not the best one out there, but it definitely had a lot of potential. And Ubisoft thought so too. They made a second game which was just amazing. Then third one came out, also great, and now a fourth game in the franchise will be released next month. It's also worth mentioning that not only were the games a critical success but also financial. With that, Ubisoft Motion Pictures has been trying to find a studio for a film adaptation, and according to Variety, Sony Pictures is the one that acquired rights:

"Studio is in final negotiations to adapt and distribute the bigscreen version of the historical actioner, landing the film rights in a bidding war after Ubisoft started shopping the property around Hollywood over the last several months. Studios, including Universal, also were vying for the project."

This makes Assassin's Creed the third game Sony is working on, with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and inFAMOUS in development. Last three games in Assassin's Creed series have been revolving around Desmond Miles, a descendant of both Altaïr and Ezio Auditore da Firenze. After he is put in a machine called "Animus" he experiences the memories of Ezio and Altaïr.

The latest game in the franchise, Assassin's Creed: Revelations will be released on November 15.

 

Daar zit ik al sinds deel 1 op te wachten! Maar dan wel de AC van 1 en niet de AC uit Rome enzo, dat was kut.
Kingdom of Heaven en Robin Hood hebben dat verlangen alleen maar versterkt .

 

game verfilmingen vallen altijd tegen.

 

Het is maar hoe je er naar kijkt. Hitman en Prince Of Persia waren een aardige succes, sure geen super films maar wel vermakelijk als je ze niet te veel vergelijkt met de games. Wel tof, maar heb eigenlijk liever een uitgebreide CGI film van Assassin's Creed zoals die trailers. Final Fantasy heeft ook van die brute CGI films, is volgens mij wel dope.

 

Vond PoP echt een verschrikkelijke film. Heel erg tof materiaal en dan nog zo'n halve B-film maken (zo kwam die over op mij). Maar comic verfilmingen worden steeds beter. Dus ooit gaan ze dat bij games ook doen!

 

Alsof dat standaard aan het feit ligt dat het een game verfilming is

 

Idd, een game geeft je een immersie waar een film gewoon niet tegenop kan.

 

Trailer vandaag uitgekomen trouwens.

 

Dat is gewoon echt geen typische Zhang Yimou stijl. Niet verwacht.

Die zag ik idd ook, maar vergeten te posten. Is weer eens wat anders dan de 13 in dozijn found footage horror films.

 

Ziet er wel vet uit ja, ben benieuwd

 

Van Harold en Kumar ga ik geen trailers kijken. Ze laten daar alle leuke stukjes al zien. Gewoon knetter naar de bioscoop (als ie in de bios komt...)

 

Helaas wel weer zo een 13 in een dozijn trailer die te veel laat zien. Verder ziet het er wel interessant uit
