Here a question to the DVDCrave Guys.

Is it possible for people without a creditcard to send money to a bankaccount?
Many people here do not have a creditcard yet, but they do have the bucks to buy things.

Here that's the most commen way of paying the stuff you get delivered.

No Problem, The only problem with this option is doing an international transfer is usually quite expensive. Can someone let me know what the cost would be to do such a transfer from a Dutch bank account to an Australian bank account. It may be worth while if you were buying more than 2 or 3 titles.

I have been told that people are wondering why there is such a price differance from our prices to your. I think it would be the fact that you dont pay our tax (which is around 10%) and you would be paying your tax on purchases in your country, does anyone know what the tax % is over there for games?

We pay 19 % on nonfood products.
And 6 on food products.

Oke, let me see.

you sell youre games to us for, say, 45 - 10% = 40.5
We buy them here for ,say, 65 - 19% = 52.65

So without our taxes that would be a differance of still almost 8 euro with youre price with taxes.

and our price without tax? which is what the distributors sell the games for, they are not able to do anything regarding the taxes in various countries.
So, at the end of the day, this is great for DVDCrave, and great for you guys and gals purchasing games, everyone wants the best prices possible, but at the same time a reliable service, this is what we try to do.

OMG! Anne, je bezoekt onze site ook of wat?? eindelijk iemand die kwaliteit herkent
nene, serieus, ik wist niet dat je onze site ook af en toe bezocht. Ik heb daar ook al meer mensen aangezet tot het kopen van games bij de aussies (Net zoals ik hier eigenlijk de link als eerste gezet heb ), maar meestal lezen ze gewoon de thread en vragen me dan alles via msn, belgen blijken niet altijd fervente forumgebruikers

BTW Daniel, don't you see a remarkable rise or anything in your sales going to the Netherlands and Belgium. The number of people I know that are now ordering games at your store (because of this thread and a thread on a Belgian forum like Anne said) is very high...I personally know at least 15 people that order games on a regular base at dvdcrave! and that's "personally"! Keep up the good job guys!

 

We have yes, our system also tells us where people are coming from to get to our site, hence how I found this site. We are now starting to sell as much XBOX as PS2. Are there many people here that have PS2s aswell as XBOX's? Or is PS2 a swear word here?

I'm ever so happy that my dad allowed me to use his credit card, I now bought 2 games for the price of 1 (here a game costs about 70 euro's). I bought Munch and Moto GP!

 

I think it was in the beginning but not anymore.
Many of the gamers here also have a gamecube and\ore PS2
The price difference for the pc, GC and PS2 are not as huge as for the Xbox so you might not sell as much of them to europe I gues.

Voor de Gamecube (en PS2 denk ik ook) scheelt het ook wel: 45 euro i.p.v 60 scheelt ook aardig. Voor de PC scheelt het niks (2 of 3 euro).

 

as Chaos already said, the difference is indeed not that big. But a GC or PS2 game is still 10 to 15 euros cheaper at DVDcrave...so it's still worth the effort i guess...

I would expect them around 4 - 6 days after you were sent a dispatch notice, let me know when it arrives.

I got a note that they were shipped on monday, the 9th. A few hours after I had ordered them, so that's pretty quick! I'll let you know when they arrive (I'll let the whole world know! ).

 

It depends per bank how expensive it is. For my bank, unfortunately I can't do such a transfer with my internet banking software to Australia (just to countries in Europe). I'd have to go to the bank myself and fill out a form. I believe when I have to transfer money to a foreign account, if the account has an IBAN code, it's € 5 to transfer the money. If there is no IBAN-code, it's probably twice as expensive.There is not much use to order the games at DVDCrave using this method, since the difference with the prices in Holland would be € 1-5.

Unfortunately I don't have a creditcard myself, so I'll be buying my games here in Holland. Which could be good though, since I think I'd buy your complete store empty if I had a CC.

 

The shops here should notice that the sales will go down, maybe not at a high speed, but they must notice it.
I wonder if they will lower their prices to a competive rate compared to dvdcrave.

Are the release dates in Australia the same as the UK release dates?
