IMO was de pistol uit halo1 te overpowerd.
En dat vonden kennelijk heel wat andere ook gezien daar toen heel veel klachten over waren. Dat was ook de aanleiding dat ze een andere pistol in halo2 deden. Die was ook veel minder krachtig.

Microsoft today began permanently banning gamers they describe as "illegitimate ODST players" from their Xbox Live online service.
Earlier today Xbox Live Chief of Police Stephen Toulouse wrote on his Twitter page that he had seen some illegitimate ODST players, referring to Xbox 360's upcoming Halo 3: ODST, online.
"No early play for you," he wrote. "Commencing permabans."
Toulouse later clarified on his Twitter that people who bought the game early and are playing it safe.
We contacted Toulouse for more details about how widespread the bannings are and how Microsoft is differentiating between legitimate owners of the game, which went on sale at at least one store early, and those who obtained the game through illegitimate means.
Toulouse told Kotaku that he can't go into specifics about how they detect and how many they ban because they don't want to tip off pirates to their methods.
"I can be clear however that this applies to illegitimate copies only, the ban covers the Xbox LIVE account and could possibly include their console depending on the results of our investigations (which are ongoing). We do this from time to time with titles to combat piracy," he wrote to Kotaku. "If a user happens to purchase a legit copy of Halo 3: ODST early, then our problem is not with the user but the retailer who broke the street date. Those individuals will not be punished."

Ben ik nou de enige die er blij mee is maar ook tegelijk best wel teleur gesteld? Al die mooie filmpjes maken net als bij Halo3 maar een film maken ho maar, vind het gewoon jammer

PAX 2009: Halo 3 ODST's Secret Story Bungie hints at something special buried deep within the new expansion.​ September 4, 2009 - We've been following Halo 3: ODST closely over the past few months, and if you're even a casual fan of Bungie Studios' storied shooter franchise, then you're probably fairly up to speed on what ODST is all about. An expansion to Halo 3, ODST follows the story of a rookie Orbital Drop Shock Trooper as he plummets to the surface of New Mombasa during the events of Halo 2. There's no Master Chief to save the day this time around. In ODST, you wake up in a heap of rubble on the surface of the ruined city and strike out on your own to find what remains of your squad. Along the way, you'll uncover their stories and step into their shoes. Think if it as part detective story, part war movie, all wrapped up in a shiny Halo package. That's the story you'll read on the back of the box when ODST ships to stores on Sept. 22. But Bungie isn't exactly known for tying up loose ends, and like all Halo games, ODST just may end up raising more questions about the Haloverse than it answers. At PAX 2009, Bungie lead writer and ODST Creative Director Joe Staten made it clear that there's going to be more going on under the surface of the game than has been previously reported. Remember the I love bees alternate reality game that surfaced as a marketing push for Halo 2? The company that made it, 42 Entertainment, spawned a splinter company called Fourth Wall Studios. And Bungie has been working with Fourth Wall on an entire sub-story that's buried within Halo 3: ODST. It's called Sadie's Story, and it follows the life of New Mombasa resident named Sadie during the final hours before everything goes to hell in the city during the events of Halo 2 (and subsequently ODST). Staten showed a few fleeting images of Sadie's Story, which he co-wrote with Fourth Wall, in collaboration with renowned comic artist Ashley Wood. We saw concept art of Sadie on a commuter train, then an image that looked like a flash of violent red and black with multiple figures in silhouette... and then it was gone. Just a glimpse of what's to come. Bungie didn't elaborate on how Sadie's Story will be presented in Halo 3: ODST, but we do know that adding it to the game doubled the amount of voice acting work the studio did for the overall project. And the story won't be told in a traditional action-and-cutscene format, but rather will be revealed in snippets as your character, the rookie, makes his way through the world, gathering clues about what went down in the city. Bungie says Sadie's Story ties in with the main ODST storyline and, consequently, the overall Halo meta-storyline.

ik moest meteen denken aan halo 3 zijn terminals...

 

ik ook, die waren ook wel boeiend maar nog steeds zit je dan met een HUGE vraagteken op je hoofd Vraag me af of je hier nou wel iets meer duidelijkheid krijgt want Bungie is nu niet meer afhankelijk van MS dus als Bungie geen games meer voor de 360 maakt en er zijn nog zoveel vragen die dan beantwoord moeten worden op een andere console, wat ik niet leuk ga vinden

 

En dan zeggen ze dat er geen Halo film kan komen.

Ja lijkt me wel, aangezien er ook achievements voor zijn. Weten we iig gelijk wat ze inhouden.

Zijn denk ik iets van 40 Logs? Die achievement zal niet echt moeilijk zijn om te behalen dus.

 

Ja want hoeveelheid zegt echt hoe moeilijk het is.

 

Die trailer is wel erg tof gedaan zeg!
Moet hem binnenkort toch maar eens even in de pre-order gooien.

 

Wat ik tijdens GT TV zag vond ik maar tegenvallen. Vind zelf dat ze het eigenlijk niet kunnen maken om met zulke graphics aan te komen. Sure..die nachtmissie is nog wel redelijk,maar overdag? Pff.....en ok, dan dus niet echt verbeterde graphics. Maar de gameplay...ik zie echt niks nieuws erin. Die tank, ja leuk...maar NIKS kan kapot....dat mis ik al. Ik had wel wat nieuwe dingen verwacht eigenlijk.

Lijkt mij aardig duidelijk te worden dat ook ODST toch echt alleen voor de echte Halo fans is. Ik had niks met Halo 3, dus ik denk deze ook niet.

 

Deze trailer van 1.30 is gaver dan alle Halo delen bij elkaar...

Ben bang dat die er voorlopig toch niet komt.
