Oh wow....ik heb net een nieuwe game, komen ze met dit! Dit is precies wat ik wilde na 100% completion! Lekker Guerilla!
Guerrilla Games' Horizon Zero Dawn not only raised the bar in terms of technical accomplishment on current generation console hardware, it handed in the best 4K HDR presentation we've seen from any PlayStation 4 Pro title. The native 1080p output on base hardware scales up to 2160p on Pro, using a custom implementation of checkerboard rendering, but Horizon's presentation is so clean, so solid, so convincing, it passes for the 'real thing' - so how was this achieved? A while back, Digital Foundry spent the day with Guerrilla Games in Amsterdam, discussing the technological make-up of the game, our visit kicking off with an in-depth talk with principal tech engineer Gilliam de Carpentier on how the studio got to grips with the PlayStation 4 Pro hardware.

Zo mooi om te zien hoe het enthousiasme voor deze game zo unaniem en overtuigd is. Hoe vaak zie je dat? Welgeteld nul nieuwe beelden.... beetje jammer, Sony!
Hi everyone! The team is hard at work with The Frozen Wilds, but we also have a new patch for Horizon Zero Dawn. Patch 1.33 is available now. This patch fixes a number of technical issues, issues that occurred with New Game + and Ultra Hard difficulty, progression issues and crashes as outlined below. The patch is 309.6 MB NOTE: This list may contain several spoilers! If you encounter an issue while playing Horizon Zero Dawn, please try reloading a recent manual save, quicksave or autosave from the “Load” menu option. If the issue persists, please take screenshots of the area where it occurred and your location on the map, and forward them to us for further investigation. NEW FEATURES • Implemented an option to allow making a manual save from a previous Game when starting a New Game to avoid losing progress. GENERAL FIXES • Fixed an issue where for some players Tearblast Arrows incorrectly deal extra Tear damage on Ultra Hard. • Fixed an issue where some players were able to reroll Special Modification Boxes by saving and reloading. PROGRESSION ISSUES FIXES • Fixed an issue in ‘The Womb of the Mountain’ when playing on Story difficulty where some players were able to kill the Corruptor outside of the gate, blocking progression because the player is not able to interact with it to continue the quest. Please download Horizon Zero Dawn patch 1.33 and let us know what you think. We’ll continue to work on further fixes for and enhancements to the game based on your comments. In the meantime, keep an eye on this space for the latest Horizon Zero Dawn news and updates! – Update: Unfortunately patch 1.33 introduced a crash that would occur for certain players when trying to load a save where the player had an opened treasure box in their inventory containing a modification and other items. We are currently working on a fix for this issue.

Alongside the three existing skill trees is the new Traveller category that look set to streamline certain parts of the game. You can unlock the Mounted Pickup skill, which is pretty self explanatory, the ability to scrap items yourself and turn them into Shards, instead of having to visit a vendor each time, increase the chances of finding rare gear, and so on. It can culminate in the ability to perform a Dismount Strike, with Aloy leaping from the back of her mount to deal a lot of damage to an enemy. Talking to him is a fine opportunity to see that Guerrilla have tried to make their conversations look more dynamic and engaging. As one of my main complaints of the main game, it’s great to see them address this going forward, perhaps aided by the narrower scope of this expansion – that said, it’s still aiming to be at least 15 hours, with tons of new side quests alongside the main narrative threads. It’s a shame, but entirely understandable that this added polish and refinement is only applicable for the new expansion. One thing to try and get people to engage more with the side quests are improved rewards, so that you can earn new weapons, gear upgrades and new outfits from completing quests as opposed to simply buying them. Additionally, where certain activities return from the original game, they’ve been given a new twist wherever possible. Encountering a Tallneck in this region doesn’t see Aloy simply trying to climb up to its top, but tasks her with trying to salvage the derelict of a fallen machine that’s being torn apart by machines reclaiming its carcass. You’ll have to defeat or avoid those robots to reach the Tallneck’s head, but once you get there, you’ll need to have found parts to get it working again before you can trigger its region revealing pulse.
