Much has been made of Mortal Kombat 11's exceedingly difficult Towers of Time, and while NetherRealm Studios has
issued a hotfix to address the inherent problems in the dynamic, time-limited challenge mode, the developer is still working to ensure that the game is "best experience possible".
In its current state, the Towers of Time mode is incredibly tough, players branding it too difficult almost to the point where it can feel unfair or even impossible. 'Konsumables' earned while playing MK 11 are supposed to help overcome the challenge, but factor in modifiers and tricky AI, and it can still prove far too hard.
Consequently, NetherRealm already has more changes in the pipeline for the Towers of Time (as detailed on
Reddit), starting with a reduction in the AI difficulty, increased Kurrency rewards, and a rather nice "thank you gift" of 500,000 Koins, 500 Hearts, 1,000 Soul Fragments, and 1,000 Time Krystals.
The patch will be rolling out for all Mortal Kombat 11 players on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 "early next week". Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC
