Downloaded the japanese demo this afternoon, and just now played it and finished it.
It looks great, with especially an improvement in the backgrounds.
There are 3 fights.
- Sasuke (with support)
- Pain (without support, as Sage Naruto)
- Tobi.Madara (without support)
The stage for Sasuke is cool, as is the snow level for Tobi/Madara. A huge improvement over the boring stages in NUNS2.
ONLY 1 slight complaint about the snow level: The falling snow is a bit too transparant, so it hardly shows, sadly. I only noticed it at the end of the fight that it was actually snowing.
Gameplay itself is familiar as NUNS2, but I saw some new combo's, and the log-replacement seems a bit easier now to pull off.
Difficulty was just normal, so not too hard. I only had to re-do the Pain fight once to win, but other than that it was pretty easy, which is OK cause you want people to just play the demo and try the gameplay.
It all seems very nice and lovely.
Just 1 complaint overall: The cutscenes. There are plenty in this demo, and luckily I could skip them to just get to the gameplay, but I hope in the final game there's a quick-button to skip them, instead of start-button, and then selecting the option to skip.
Anyway, very very pleased with the look and the feel of this new demo. Haven't tried any ultimate ending attacks or anything cause frankly I didn't get into that position where I could use them. I'm sure there will be vids of them hitting YT in the next 24 hours orso.
