info over de MP (is meer over de P.E.C. mode dan over maps ed)
In de originele file staan ook screens, maa die moegen helaas niet online... sorry!

The Rainbow Six Lockdown P.E.C mode is an innovative approach to multiplayer on Xbox Live! There is no other game with this feature. It does not replace regular multiplayer, but supplements it, by offering a persistent character for the player. In short it adds more emersion and depth to the genre since a player has his own personalised character. The character is saved on the Xbox Live!, making it impossible to tweak or cheat with the character files. It is the same kind of persistent characters you would find in a Massively Multiplayer Online Game, like Planetside or EverQuest.

    How does it work?
P.E.C mode is an option you apply to the standard maps of Lockdown. When one of the multiplayer sessions is played with P.E.C mode enabled, it means that those who play will use their persistent characters. If P.E.C mode is NOT enabled, it’s a regular multiplayer session like Rainbow Six 3 or Black Arrow.

How does P.E.C mode effect the multiplayer game play?
The game play is effected on several levels.
    - Each character is unique, with definite strengths and weaknesses.
    - Each character can be easily distinguishable, if the player so desires.
    - The layout of the map can be effected, new paths opened or closed by players.

How many characters can you have?
    One per account.

What kind of characters are there?
Characters are basically defined by their class, and there are four classes to choose from: Commando, Spec Ops, Medic and Engineer. Each class has access to both general skills, and class unique skills. The skills are level based, so the higher the level of the character is, the more skills he or she will gain access to. Skills define which weapons and equipment can be used, and at which efficiency. It effects for example reload time and accuracy for guns, the total amount you can carry for grenades etc. All skills are combat related.

What is the Commando class about?
The Commando is the assault class of the game. He uses heavy weapons and heavy armor to take down the enemy by pure, brute force. If he has a motto, its “Peace through superior firepower”. The Commando starts out with the Assault Weapons skill, and eventually gains skills such as Recoil Control, Ballistic Shield, Heavy Armor, Enhanced recovery and more.

What is the Spec Ops class about?
The Spec Ops is the stealth class of the game. He relies more on speed and accuracy, than power. A Spec Ops motto would be “Move like a butterfly, sting like a bee” or “One shot, one kill”. The Spec Ops starts out with the Sub machine gun skills, and later gains Sniper Rifles, Knife Attack, Critical hit and more.

What is the Medic class all about?
The Medic is the healer, or the silent killer, which ever the player prefers. He can help his team by healing them, giving them adrenaline boosts or setting up field clinics and he can also take the enemy head on using his gun or nerve gas, unique to the class. The nerve gas is a versatile weapon that can either be used for directly killing enemies caught in the gas cloud, or temporarily block of passages or rooms. The Medic starts out with the Sub machine gun skill and later gains First aid, Nerve gas, Field Clinic, Free gasmask and more.

What is the Engineer class all about?
The Engineer is the basic support class. He can help the team by quickly taking them through doors, by using tools, or he can cover them using his deployable turret. He can place traps for the enemy, quickly defuse explosive or place firewalls on computers and machines to slow down the enemies progress. The engineer can also effect the layout of the map, by operating certain doors or machines using the electronic key card to block paths, or open new routes for the team. The engineer starts out with the Shotgun skill and later gains Traps, Hacking, Deploy Turret and more.

What features are there to support the character individuality?
First off, during the creation of a character, the player picks a distinct face, gender and camouflage for their character. There are many faces to choose from in order to offer a good variety. Later on, as the character earns credits through playing missions, the appearance of the character can be customized by purchasing new uniforms, headgear and armor.

How does the purchasing of equipment work?
The characters earns credits by playing the missions. Win or lose, they will earn credits. But winning will of course earn them more than losing. These credits are used to buy equipment at the Quartermaster shop such as uniforms, armor, expendables and headgear. Expendable equipment is equipment that is used up during a mission, like grenades, mines and tripwires for example. Other equipment, while not expendable, can still break due to damage. So it has to be repaired or replaced as time goes by.

Can you give some examples of class unique equipment?
The ballistic shield – Commando – Offers protection from incoming fire
The combat knife – Spec ops – Allows the spec ops to do a melee attack
The turret – Engineer – Can be placed to create a dangerous field of fire
The field clinic – Medic – Can be placed to offer healing for the team
The electronic keycard – Engineer – Allows the manipulation of machines / electronics
The nerve gas – Medic – Blocks of a passage and / or slowly kills the enemy
The heat sensor – Spec Ops – Reveals enemies
The OICW – Commando – A special, versatile weapon available to the Commando only

What is the use of different headgear and uniforms?
Headgear is mostly cosmetic. It allows clans and players to create their own unique look, to separate them from the rest on the battle field. The different uniforms are of course also useful in the sense that you might want to change the camouflage your character wears, depending on the terrain you will fight in.

What about guns and ammo then?
Ammunition is free, as are guns. Guns are chosen in the outfitting screen before each multiplayer session.

What about P.E.C mode and clans?
Clans are a key component of the Rainbow six game-play on Xbox Live! and it is of course a key component of P.E.C mode to. Clans are supported in many ways, you can expect the Black Arrow functionalities and more in order to create an enjoyable experience for clans.

    What is the game-play like?
The game-play is basically an enhanced version of the regular multiplayer mode. The difference is that you are playing with your persistent character, with and against others doing the same. You can also effect the environment of the maps in P.E.C mode, something you cannot do in regular multiplayer.

    TEAM SURVIVAL
Team Survival remains relatively unchanged from Rainbow Six 3.

In Team Survival two teams go head to head and battle it out without respawns and without having to focus on detailed objectives. Surviving team wins!

    TEAM SHARPSHOOTER
Team Sharpshooter is a Team Deathmatch multiplayer adversarial game mode.

Team Sharpshooter is a team deathmatch adversarial mode where the team with the most kills when the time is up wins. Players keep respawning as long as the clock is ticking.

    TOTAL CONQUEST
Total Conquest promotes team-play and requires teams to have attack and defend strategies. The objective of the game is to capture and hold all key locations, in the form of satellite transmitters, for a total victory. If total victory is not achieved, minor victory is declared to the team holding the most transmitters.

    RETRIEVAL
Retrieval relies on the proven and popular “Capture the flag” concept. To score a point, race to the canister in the center of the map and retrieve it, then deliver it to your team's depot station. Do this as often as possible within the game’s time limit. The team who scores the most points wins.

    COOPERATIVE
Play through the campaign with up to 2 friends in cooperative mode via split-screen or with 4 friends over Xbox Live! or system link.
