skate.Create FAQ..... and new COTW
You asked, Cuz answered.... again. It's pretty neat how that all works out isn't it? But really, Cuz clarified alot of skate.Create questions this time around. Check out his answers below to clear the air and then hit the message boards to discuss (which I'm sure was going to happen anyways)
The Danny Way interview went GREAT the other day. He's a class act all around and once I actually got my nerves together to actually ask him some questions, he gave some great answers. Watch for the edited interview coming soon.
Also, once you've checked out all the skate.Create Q's and A's, there's a new COTW down there at the bottom. It's like the treasure at the end of the trail. No theme to this one, just some good ol' Port Carverton ripping! Also, here's a YouTube link for those who have computers that disagree with our player.

Check the answers, check the clip, and keep an eye out for the Blow Up the Spot winner this weekend!

skate.Park
"Can you create stairs one at a time or are they pre-made sets?"
Pre-made sets...although stacking manny pads might allow you to create a semblance of stairs. Hmmm...I'm pretty sure people will figure something out...but officially...pre-set stair sets.
"Can you edit downloaded parks, or do they stay the way that you downloaded them?"
Yep...you can edit downloaded parks...as long as you have gotten far enough in progression to unlock the park that you're editing. Huh? Basically, you can skate any park you download...or are invited to (you don't have to download it if you are invited to skate). If you have unlocked the "park" in progression, you can then edit it as well. Whoever builds the park originally gets credit for starting the park, however, if someone modifies the park and other people download it, the second person gets the board sales (progression reward). Huh, part 2?
"Will you be able to play games at created parks with online friends?"
Like SKATE or SPOT battle?
As of this writing, no. As of now, that is...
"Can you only rotate pieces at 90 degree angles or is there a free rotate option??"
Fine tuning means you can rotate in the increments you want...not just 90 chunks.
"What's the space limit for the CAP and the Object Dropper, how many pieces?"
It really depends on the park you are building and the size of the terrain pieces or number of props you place in it. There is a meter that clearly indicates remaining space left for both terrain pieces and props.
"Will there be DLC objects for CAP/Object Dropper?"
Awesome question that I cannot answer. But...it sounds like an idea full of awesomenissity.
"Are all the parks the same size, or is each location different sizes?"
Different sizes, configurations, and with different terrain pieces associated with them. As you progress, you will be able to use new pieces in previously unlocked lots.
"Can you select a group of objects for easier movement/modification?"
Yessir!...and I like it!
"Can you stack objects in water?"
Yes!!!...in Port Carverton proper...not in skate.parks.
"How many different "styles" are there?"
Pretty sure there are 4 styles plus 4 postures...adding up to a wide range of possibilities.
Graphics Creator
"Is the graphics creator going to be updated so you can add more than just one line of text?"
Yes, multiple text lines will be possible with the Skate 3 graphics creator. Be warned though, if you choose your words unwisely, you could see your graphic removed by a moderator.
"Will we be able to fit our graphic on the whole board or will it disappear past the trucks?"
You can size however you want...and preview it, too.
Single Player
"How long does it take to complete the story/sell 1,000,000 boards?"
Not to be a smart ass...but it really depends on how you go about it, because most everything you do sells boards (which means progressing). Doing challenges, getting people to download your graphics or parks, and doing ranked online matches all sell boards.
Online
"If you invite someone to skate a created park in an online session, do they have to download the park before they can join the game?"
Nope. You can play without downloading as long as they invite you.
Offline Multiplayer
"In skate 1, a scoreboard was kept when we played Spot Battle/SKATE This disappeared in Skate 2. Is the in-game scoreboard back in Skate 3?"
There will be online leaderboards for all ranked challenge modes, including SKATE and Spot Battle. Each leaderboard can be filtered based on difficulty (easy/medium/hardcore) and time range (weekly/monthly/all-time). Last I checked there were online leaderboards for SKATE and Spot Battle in Skate 2, so either I'm not understanding the question, or this player didn't know where they were.
General
"Will I be able to put a Cuz in a shopping cart and show him around town?"
That would be mean...so I will look into having the game crash for anyone that does so...
...But...that's a great idea! Maybe I can get into some sort of Jackass reunion movie.
"Does advanced free camera come with the game this time, or do you still need to buy it?"
Comes with...honestly...it just wasn't ready when we shipped Skate 2, that is why it was DLC.
