Q: (scworld) Is it the same voice actor for Lambert in PT that was in the first one?
A: No, this time we have selected Dennis Haybert. The president in 24 for acting as Lambert.
Q: (samfisher2) How many levels has Pandora Tomorrow?
A: Offline: 8 missions so 20 levels, Online: 8 missions in the master and then maps downloadable on the net.
Q: (CrazyFrezi): Have you visited Indonesia, Isreal, and all other missions locations?
A: Yes, Of course, whereas it was before starting the development of the game or for east timor when developping it.
Q: (scribble-gamer7-com) With the original Splinter Cell you were accused of stealing gameplay ideas from the
metal gear solid series. Do you feel this is a fair critism?
A: Who said that? I do think in SC2 we will be the one accusing, especially because of the online part.
Q: (duffman): PoP, one of last year's best game to me, had one of his strongest points in hi-esay-to-master,
yet very flexible control: dont you think having fewer buttons to remember adds to the capability of "feeling the tenstion"? Will something be done in SC2 to simplify controls?
A: Yes, the controls have been simplified, but accessibilit is not only with the controls, the mission over system is different.
The first reason why we have worked alot on the pad configuration is because we have the online and offline gameplay to handle.
The second is because we have new moves to master. The idea is to accomplish visually strickinh actions without touching more than twice the pad.
Q: (not|Pork): What was/is your role in the development of SC
T?
A: I am the producer of the game. I coordinate the 80 persons on the project.
Q: (|MgA|) Will the XBox version includes support for 7.1 sound?
A: We are 5.1
Q: (XBG-Lola) Will there be downloads for Xbox Live? And will we have to pay for them?
A: Oh yes. Online maps, as much as humanely possible.
Q: (Weinberg): It has been rumoured that the NGC version will feature online play. Is this correct?
A: I can not say a final no, but I am not far from saying it, no. All the other formats will have on line gameplay of course.
Q: (Nip-Zigo): SC was offering to the player the chance to check a Sam Fisher able to perform several movements, which weren't used much. Will this be fixed in PT?
A: Yes: This was our primary objective, no moves are compulsory, you do what you want but you have many moments, places, spots, where you can be amazed and surprise yourself.
The better you get, the more you enjoy having Sam doing as much as possible.
Q: (Kung) Which console version will have the best graphics?
A: The idea here is that whatever your consol, you will be blown away. I promise you this will be the case. I am not erally interested in the little console battle though.
Q: (irie) Who did the Xbox version, montreal or Shanghai? And what about the other systems?
A: Shanghai and Annecy in France produced and developped SC2 for the XBox and PC format. France is leading the PS2 version, this is to ensure that we make the most of all systems.
Q: (Wincia_Ludus) What about the enemy AI they'll use to be more tactical?
A: We have more than enemies in SC2, as we have civillians in the streets in trains, in air post going through their everyday lifes, this means that AI is going further than I see you I take a gun, I shoot you.
For enemies they have now a memory, the're give memory of what has happened, what they have heard, they cover and protect themselves in real time when they feel danger for instanc, this is more stressful, more dense also because you dont want that a civilian gets a bullet in the head because of you.
Q: (PS@Zone Eazy...):How is it to work as a woman in the game-business?
A: I think it's the worst nightmare a team can have. This is the cost of being a woman in the industry.
Q: (Plebs_NetMag): Do players who know the first part have an advantage?
A: They only know that Nikoladze's dead, if they have finished the first game. They also know that the use of non-lethal gadgets is the more clever way of playing.
Q: (Aj6627) Will the first level be a camp which is training and a mission at the same time, like OXM said in their Previews?
A: Yes, we did not want the training to be ie 2 hours in a box doing moves to master the basics.
Q: (Axeman) You say there will be civilians in the game. Will the enemies be able to take them as human shields?
A: Yes, they will and they do. The only way to save them is a discreet bullet in the head of the enemy.
Q: (irie) will the game ship uncut once again?
A: Yes, the game is the same all over the planet.
Q: (Scworld) Will karmadata(ragdoll physics) be implemented?
A:We have used Karma for a specific part of the gameplay in the jungle and indonesian environments.
Q: (PCC) Will the PS2, Xbox and GameCube all be the same this time around?
A: XBox and PC willl be releashed in march: the 25th, PS2 and GC a little bit later.
Q: (Xrenity): Will there be a PC demo before release? Or are you planning on one afterwards, like Prince of Persia?
A: We are trying the best we can to make it happen before release.
Q: (you-rule) Has SC2 a multiplayer mode?
A: Yes and there is a specific chat about it in 2 weeks, because this mode is worth a whole discussion about it.
Q: (Matyus) Will there be part in the game that you have to kill a whole bunch of enemies, such as the first game (abattoir).
A: It is different. You can reach the last maps and play till the last mission without having been seen and without killing one single enemy. The last mission however is a little tricky.
Q: (Thunak) Is PT actually SC2 or not?
A:It's SC2, 8 missions off line, 8 missions on line.
Q: (ZhP) What's the story behind Pandora Tomorrow?
A: We are in the Tom Clancy universe so the background story is geopolitically based.
East Timor declares independance and refuses to be part of Indonesia. The US back up East Timor as the youngest democracy in the world and send troops to help them. Indonesian gouvernment refuses that and external forces get involved in their own business and finance terrorist groups and Suhadi Sadono to fight them. Their weapon is a biological weapon
Q: (Gamevillage.nl) What was the most memorably event for you that happened during the production of PT?
A: The moment the game was approved by Microsoft and went into production because this means holidays for us.
Q: (Brain): How many programmers work on PT?
A 80 inclusive programmers, designers, grahists, animators, sound designers, testers and me.
Q: (Xrenity) You said Microsoft approved the game, does this means it's gold?
A: Yes we are, this was two hours ago. The PC version is also gold.
Q: (Wincio_Ludus) What will be the optimal specs for PC version? We will see better the Nvidia or ATo graphic cards?
A: P4, 256MB RAM , 3D 64 Meg is recommanded.
Q: (sismo) is it true that the game will rock?
A: Yes, reviews are amazing, so it's not me saying this.
