Xbox One vs. PS4

Nou voorlopig blijft het even de x1 en de ps4 voor mij. Kan echt niet om het jaar nieuwe hardware aanschaffen..

 

The fuck. The NX komt pas in maart 2017 en is niet op E3. Alleen Zelda is er en verder niks.
Nintendo is echt de weg kwijt.

 

Dat Nintendo de weg kwijt is, is niks nieuws dat zijn ze al jaren.

Maar juist beter dat ze een jaartje wachten en wat meer titels hebben, anders flopt het bij voorhand alwéér.
Althans, ik neem aan dat dat (1 van) de reden is. NX is toch een beetje gerushed ivm het floppen van de WiiU...ze moesten er snel op reageren, er zal dus ook nog niet veel klaar zijn voor dat ding.

 

E3 nieuwe console! O wait Nintendo laat alleen Zelda zien, het is toch wel vreemd allemaal.

 

Ik lees dat het komt door Zelda. Zelda is zo gelinked aan de nieuwe console en dat de game nog niet klaar Pas in maart. Dus delayen ze de console. Beetje eng dat de focus alleen op Zelda is en geen andere launch games. Niet echt vertrouwen in de library dan. Als ze puur voor Zelda de console delayen.

 

Ach, dan hebben ze wrs wel een echte console seller als launch titel.

 

Ze ondersteunen de Wii U al niet meer sinds de E3 van vorig jaar, dus ik neem aan dat er meerdere console sellers aan zitten te komen op of rond maart 2017. Ik verwacht toch ook wel de nieuwe Retro Studios titel rond de launch en wat titels van andere Nintendo divisies.

 

Nou ja de nieuwe Zelda komt ook nog naar de WiiU. Om een of andere reden.

 

De enige vreemde beslissing is om de NX niet te tonen op de E3. Dat is juist DE plek om de gamers terug te winnen. Mag toch hopen dat ze dan richting het eind van het jaar een eigen live event gaan houden, want de console onthullen tijdens een Nintendo Direct zou belachelijk zijn.

En wat gaan ze dan in godsnaam uitbrengen tijdens de holiday season van 2016?

 

Ach, ze hebben beloofd dat ie sowieso op de WiiU zou komen. Twilight princess verscheen ook op de Gamecube en Wii.

 

Nee dat snap ik. Maar blijkbaar wordt is de NX uitgesteld omdat Zelda niet klaar is maar dan komt die ook nog op de WiiU. Beetje vreemd verder.

 

Nintendo is sowieso raar sinds de Wii. Vroeger altijd toffe games en zwaar mijn aandacht kunnen vasthouden, maar sinds de Wii krijgen ze geen enkele cent van mij.

Het zou mij niet eens deren als ze failliet zouden gaan, zover is het gekomen voor mij. Nintendo boeit mij al jaren niet meer, terwijl ze prachtige games hebben gemaakt waar ik mij behoorlijk mee vermaakt heb.

 

"We are still several weeks away from Microsoft’s E3 press event but what the company will talk about is starting to come into focus. Based on sources inside the company, expect to see new hardware at the event and there will be a new standard controller that ships with the Xbox One.

The new standard controller will look similar to the current design, which isn’t too surprising, but will likely come in a new color. Considering that Microsoft currently ships a black controller, a white default design seems like a decent mid-cycle refresh for the console to help spur sales.

In addition to an updated standard controller, the company is exploring new interactions between the PC and the Xbox One to further extend the capabilities already present between the two (game streaming). Seeing as Microsoft wants to make Windows 10 on the desktop and Xbox one a ‘killer combination’, they are looking to leverage the ecosystem to create unique experiences for games that are on other platforms too.

The idea is simple, even for games that are not device exclusive, make unique experiences between the console and the PC that PlayStation cannot emulate easily to help differentiate the console from its competitors.

But wait, there’s more. The company also has something else up its sleeve that I still don’t have all the details on but it’s a much bigger deal than an updated standard controller. While the rumors of a PS4K have been running rampant, and I don’t know yet if this new device is set to take on that console, they will have another, much larger hardware related announcement, at E3 this year. I had previously heard that they were working on a new Elite console, they recently announced an Elite bundle, but I am not sure if this is an update to that product or something brand new.

This will be a big year for Microsoft at E3 as the company tries once again to show that its console is the better choice when sized up against the PS4. As I learn more about the new hardware, I’ll make sure to pass it along."

 

Echt, wat heeft MS toch steeds met die controller. Kunnen ze niet een keer de tijd nemen en meteen een goede shippen!

 

Thurrott.com(Specially Brad Sams) have a live-stream up that is going to cover some information relating to "Xbox 1, Xbox 2, Xbox E3". Currently just going over the Windows phone news but should be getting to the relevant Xbox information soon. Figured that due to the source (he called the Xbox Elite controller) it warranted a thread - could still turn out to be nothing though so keep that in mind.



2 smaller devices - one smaller streaming only device (ala Chromecast) the other more like the Apple TV.

Xbox Interface coming to PC. Xbox transitioning into a platform.

More powerful Xbox One coming next Spring (new architecture).

Ze hebben het lang geheim kunnen houden. Maar nu gaat het los haha qua leaks.

"Microsoft has two new Xbox consoles on the horizon, according to reports on Kotaku and corroborated with Polygon's own sources. Those sources also told Polygon that one of those new consoles will be over four times more powerful than the current Xbox One and that the announcement at E3 was triggered by, among other things, a faster than expected timeline for Sony’s own upgraded PlayStation 4. The other console, a slimmed down version of the current hardware, will also be getting a redesigned controller.

The other console, codenamed Scorpio, is unlikely to be released until late 2017 according to Polygon's sources. It will likely be announced in the next month, though plans are somewhat in flux. Like the all-but-confirmed PS4 "Neo," Scorpio represents an evolution of console generations, one that straddles the line somewhat between an entirely new installment of the Xbox platform and a continuation of the existing Xbox One.

Power is a primary concern for Microsoft with Scorpio. The PS4 has remained a constant leader over the Xbox One in this respect, with games on the platform running at higher resolution and a higher framerate on the PS4 than their Xbox One counterparts. Microsoft is determined to end this narrative.

The Xbox One is believed to operate a peak target of 1.32 teraflops, compared to the 1.84 teraflop performance numbers attributed to the PS4. Meanwhile, per documents secured by Giant Bomb's Austin Walker — and corroborated by our sources — the PlayStation 4 "Neo," at approximately 2.25 times more powerful than the PS4, is likely to have a peak performance number of 4.14 teraflops.

The current performance target for Microsoft’s Scorpio is approximately 6 teraflops.

Spannende tijden gaan we weer tegemoet deze E3.

Maar was ook wel een beetje te verwachten dat er nieuwe consoles aankomen, de Xbox One en PS4 lopen behoorlijk achter op de pc.
Ik bedoel AA is erg slecht in veel games allemaal kartelrandjes, lighting ook (heb nu GTA V en er is geen dynamic lighting?). Ik vermaak mij best met de Xbox One maar toch grafisch stelt het toch wat teleur. Tot nu toe vind ik van alle games die ik heb alleen Forza Horizon 2 echt prachtig.

Ik hoop zelf alleen niet dat MS vol in gaat zetten op dat VR gebeuren. En dat er weer een soort van Kinect achtige meuk komt waar niemand op zit te wachten maar er toch bij moet kopen om het te laten 'functioneren'.

 

Ze "hebben" Oculus natuurlijk. Zelf zullen ze niks maken maar zitten zo wel in de VR markt.

 

Voor mij is het voorlopig gewoon blijven bij wat ik nu heb. Een PS4 en een Xbox One. Om nu weer 300€ en up uit te geven.. Eerst maar een jaartje verder zijn en dan zie ik wel weer..

 

Same! Weinig trek om een nieuwe console in huis te halen. En sowieso, voor mij bied de Xbox One eigenlijk weinig. Ik had voor Xbox gekozen vanwege Gears en Halo i.c.m. Live en de controller. Maar goed, Halo is dood en Gears gaat 'm volgens mij ook niet meer worden. Verder vind ik het dashboard ook nog steeds een onoverzichtelijk zooitje. En traag!
